MOUNTING THE CHILD CARRIER TO THE BIKE
WARNING! Failure to comply with these manufacturer's instructions can lead to serious injury of the
passenger or rider.
TOOLS REQUIRED: Adjustable wrench and 5mm Allen wrench
STEP 1: Layout parts and remove all packing materials.
STEP 2: The front and rear sections of the mounting bar are held together by a hex bolt which screws into a bar
support underneath the mounting bar (FIG. 4c). Using an Allen wrench, remove the hex bolt and bar support.
Set these two small parts aside for now. Follow instructions for attaching the rear and front mounting bar
pieces in STEP 3 below. The rear and front mounting bar pieces are then reattached at the end of STEP 3.
STEP 3: The mounting hardware has been pre-assembled to the support bar for your convenience.
A. Remove the back section of the rear bracket insert from the support bar assembly.
B. Attach the support bar to the seat post between the frame and the bike seat. Reinstall the rear bracket and
bracket inserts as shown in FIG. 4a.
C. Remove the front bracket and bracket insert from the support bar assembly.
D. DO NOT ATTACH THE SUPPORT BAR DIRECTLY TO THE HANDLEBAR STEM. Attach the
support bar to the head tube just below the handlebar stem. Reintall the hardware and bracket/bracket
insert as show in FIB. 4b. When securing hardware, apply normal hand tightening using the tools
supplied/required. Torque requirements 10 Nm.
NOTE: Make sure the resin bumper is in place between the support bar and the head tube. This
is to protect the finish of your bicycle.
E. You can now connect both rear and front pieces of the support bar back together. Using the two small
parts put asice in STEP 2 above, fasten both bar pieces with the hex bolt and bar support. Adjust bar
assembly to fit snugly across the bicycle. Securely fasten completed bar assemby with an Allen wrench.
CAUTION: Check the security of all fasteners frequently.
