1. Introduction

The Heating Modulis RTS Ramp is a radiant heating ramp which heats up immediately offering
optimum performance and directional heating. The Heating Modulis RTS Ramp is fitted with Somfy
RTS Radio Technology.
The electric heating ramp uses heating lamps with a maximum output of 2000 W with a 230 V supply.
The Heating Modulis RTS Ramp can be operated via an RTS control point.
The Heating Modulis RTS Ramp can be used to select 3 different levels of heating:
• The heating lamp heats to 33% power,
• The heating lamp heats to 66% power,
• The heating lamp heats to 100% power.
The Heating Modulis RTS Ramp can be used to program one of these 3 heating levels in the "favou-
rite position". The factory default setting for the favourite heating level is 33% of the maximum power
level.
The Heating Modulis RTS Ramp is used:
- as an individual control - one Heating Modulis RTS Ramp is controlled by one control point,
- as a multiple control - one Heating Modulis Ramp is controlled by several control points (maxi-
mum of 12 control points),
- as a group control - several Heating Modulis RTS Ramps are controlled from a single control
point,

2.1 Safety and responsibility

Before installing and using this product, please read the installation guide carefully.
Moreover, the installer must comply with current standards and legislation in the country in which the
product is being installed, and inform his customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for
the product.
Any usage outside of applications defined by Somfy constitutes non-compliance, and is therefore not
covered by the guarantee. In this event, as for all usage not consistent with the instructions given
here, Somfy declines any responsibility for harm or damage.
Never begin installing without first checking the compatibility of this product with the associated
equipment and accessories.
The equipment must not be used without the protective grille: danger of burns!
Do not look directly at the infrared tube close up or for a long period when the ramp is on!
