4. Wiring

CAUTION! Comply with current standards and legislation when installing.
Ensure that the total power of the heating lamp(s) connected to the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp does
not exceed 2000 W.
The line must be protected by a 16 A delay fuse (minimum).
Faulty supply cables must only be replaced by the supplier, the supplier's customer service team or a
qualified professional, to avoid any danger.
- Connect the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp to an available 230V socket.

5. Commissioning

The Heating Modulis RTS Ramp is commissioned using an RTS control point.
For more accurate and optimised use of the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp, Somfy recommends using a
control point from the Telis Modulis RTS range.
Caution! If the installation comprises several Heating Modulis RTS Ramps, only one Heating Modulis
RTS Ramp should be connected at a time!
Caution! Do not use the Inis RT/RTS control point for commissioning. These control points are not
suitable for commissioning.

5.1 Programming the RTS control point

1) Press the Up and Down buttons on the RTS control point simulta-
neously until the heating lamp comes on then goes out.
2) Briefly press the PROG button on the RTS control point: the heating
lamp will come on then go out again to indicate that the RTS control
point has been programmed into the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp.

6. Operation

The building in which the product is used might reduce the radio range.
This range is:
X = 200 m in open space
Y = 20 m through 2 concrete walls
Caution! The use of a radio appliance (e.g. Hi-Fi radio headphones)
operating on the same frequency may cause interference and be detri-
mental to the product's performance.
Before changing the direction of the heat supply, switch off the equip-
ment and wait until it has cooled down.
Never leave the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp unsupervised while it is
on!
Do not cover the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp while it is on and wait until
it has cooled down to prevent any risk of fire!
The Heating Modulis RTS Ramp can be used to select 3 different levels of heating:
• The heating lamp heats to 33% power,
• The heating lamp heats to 66% power,
• The heating lamp heats to 100% power.
N.B.: The default factory setting for the favourite heating level on the Heating Modulis RTS Ramp is
33% of maximum power. This favourite position may be modified as required.

6.1 With an RTS control point from the Modulis range

1) To switch on the heating ramp:
