COMPANION STATIONARY UNITS
Companion Stationary Unit Components
Become familiar with the various parts of the unit described below and
shown in Figure 3.
•
Contents Indicator - displays the amount of liquid oxygen
remaining in the Stationary unit. It is visible through the top of the
unit.

Pressure Gauge - (Optional) indicates the status of the pressure
inside the Stationary unit. The Stationary unit is at an acceptable
pressure when the needle is in the dark blue shaded region.
•
Flow Control - (except Low Loss) adjusts oxygen flow from the
breathing oxygen supply. It must be set to the oxygen flow rate
prescribed by your physician.
NOTE: Set control to 0 to turn unit off.

Breathing Oxygen Supply - (except Low Loss) this connector is
the point where a cannula or other type of breathing device is
connected for direct breathing from the Stationary unit. A bubble-
type humidifier may be attached to this connection before
attaching the supply tubing.
