Make sure the switch (13) is in on "O" position.
Connect the appliance electrical plug from the mains outlet.
Position the graduated container for liquids (11) and the container for
residues (12) close to the corresponding spouts (Fig. F).
Bring the switch (13) to "ON" position.
Insert previously cut food into the hopper.
Inserting of hard kernels/stones (e.g. cherries, apricots, peaches, ol-
ives, dates, etc.) into appliance may seriously damage it. Seeds of
watermelons, apples or pears do not damage appliance. It is recom-
mended to remove seeds from citrus fruit, as lemons and oranges,
that do not damage appliance but may modify the taste of the juice.
Do not insert ice or frozen fruit or vegetables to prevent the appli-
ance from damaging.
Open the Opening/closing device (4) to let the liquid out (Fig. F).
TIPS
Compared to traditional juicers, slow juicers produce a higher-quality
juice and are also excellent for squeezing leafy vegetable.
Cut vegetables and fruit into small pieces. Carrots, beets and fibrous
vegetable may be very hard and difficult to squeeze.
Cut them into small pieces or into 1 cm. wide strips before inserting
them into hopper, to avoid stressing the appliance too much.
Do not insert too many of these foods at a time, but leave the appliance
squeeze few vegetables, one at a time.
In case of appliance jamming owing to an excessive amount of food
introduced, change the rotation direction of the squeezing screw (7)
using the switch (13) by pressing it downwards to "r" position. If this
procedure is not successful, switch the appliance off by rotating the
switch to "O" position. Disconnect the appliance electrical plug from
the mains outlet and proceed with disassembly of attachments.
