8. After 4 comes the final level, AUTO, where the device is switched to automatic operation. In the AUTO function
the current fence status is continuously measured and the optimal output level is automatically selected!
(Recommended setting)
9. After completion of the adjusting procedure, the display switches back to display of the fence voltage.
10. The LED series to the left of the display makes it possible to see the fence status from a distance.
11. When switched on/off, the battery voltage is displayed briefly (approx. 2sec.)!
The status of the battery can be seen at a quick glance with the battery symbol [4] on the display:

(As the battery voltage decreases, the pulse interval increases in order to conserve output energy.)
12. Switch off the device by (briefly) pressing the control knob [1] (confirmed by a tone).
Hint:
When connected to the fence, if the device should blink red even in the highest output level, it should be operated
without the fence system connected. If everything is OK then, the fence system must be inspected.
Foal operation: (BD400 & 600)
With the foal operation activated, the device allows the animal to be freed from the fence system without
being shocked.
The foal operation mode is activated and/or deactivated by pressing the control knob [1] for approx. six seconds.
(A continuous tone sounds while the knob is pressed).
A horse symbol appears on the display
