Setting Gas Saver Modes
The trap has the option to run 24/7 or in one of 4 Gas
Saver Modes which can extend the life of your
propane tank. The propane tank will last 21 days by
operating your trap 24/7, which is recommended for the
optimal catch rate. Please see the chart below or in the
Control Panel section of your Commander's user-interface
to see the corresponding propane usage expended based
on the mode of operation.

The Gas Saving Mode options will stop the propane
use during the time of day and time of night you chose.
Research has shown mosquito activity is typically
lowest during these time frames.
Note:
To set your trap to a Gas Saver Mode, you can go to the
Control Panel section of your Commander's user-interfacer
and select an option. In order for this mode to work, you
must pick a timezone based on your location and identify
whether or not you observe Daylight Savings Time.
Obtaining this information is necessary to ensure your
Commander knows the correct time of day.

green LED light will be off. Additionally,
the Sun element will flash during the
day and the Moon element will flash during the night
when the trap is in Fuel-Saving Mode. The fan will
continue to operate in the trap, at a reduced speed,
to prevent any escape of mosquitoes but will not
capture any additional mosquitoes during this time
frame.
5. If the trap is set in the fuel-saving mode, the battery
must be disconnected and then reconnected every
time the propane tank is refilled. The battery
disconnect is required to reset the Fuel Saving timer.

Cold Temperature Shutdown

Low Temperature Mode:
The trap has a temperature sensor that will
automatically start-up or power-down the trap
by itself when the temperature reading is above or below
a selected temperature. Using the Control Panel on the
Commander's user-interface you have the option of
selecting 45°, 40 or 35 to serve as your cold temperature
shutdown. The recommended cold temperature shutdown
is 50 degrees. Research has shown that there is very little
mosquito activity during this time frame.
If the trap was running (word RUN is visible & Green LED
light is on) & the temperature drops below the selected
temperature (50, 45, 40 or 35 degrees) the trap will shut
down. When the trap is in Cool Down Mode, the word
COOL and the Thermometer icon will flash on the trap.
An alert will be displayed on the Dashboard of your
Commander user-interface to show when the trap is in
Cool Down Mode. The trap will restart when the
temperature sensor indicates the air temperature is 5
degrees above the selected temperature setting.

Low Battery Warning

The battery icon and attention will flash if
the battery needs to be recharged.

Child Safety Lock

The ON/OFF button needs to be held for 3 full seconds
to turn-on the trap.
