Automatic Water Softeners MINI and MAXI
disconnect the fixture by turning off the switch of
the system or by disconnecting the socket.
In case of failure and/or malfunctioning of the fixtu-
re, switch it off, turn the taps onto "BY PASS" posi-
tion (fig. 3) and avoid any possible repairing or di-
rect intervention. If the fixture has the optional "BY
PASS" group, put the piston onto "OUT" position
(fig. 4).
Contact only qualified personnel. Any possible re-
pair must be carried out only with the original spa-
re parts.
Should you not follow the above-mentioned, the
safety of your fixture could be endangered and the
warrenty granted by the manufacturer will lose its
validity.
4. SETTING AT WORK (fig. 7)
• MON - monday
• WED - wednesday
• FRI - friday
• SUN - sunday
After the installation, performed according to the
previous instructions, the water softener is to be set
at work.
The following operations must be carried out with
the electrical plug disconnected.
ATTENTION: when setting at work, the water sof-
tener often unloads water from its drain, however
allowing the output to be used.
• Push the button and turn it counterclockwise
using the cam placed behind the timer till the ar-
row on the push button shows Backwash (II -
fig. 7).
• Open water input very slowly in order to avoid
any possible water hammer. If the water softener
is equipped with the optional "BY-PASS" group,
move the piston very slowly from "IN" position
to "OUT" position (fig. 4).
• Leave the water softener in this position for
about 15 minutes.
• Turn all ball taps into working position (fig. 3).
• Push again the button and turn it into the posi-
tion of brine refill and purge (IV) by means of
the cam.
• Wait for the water level in the pickle to rise over
about 15 cm.
• Push the button and turn it always counter-
clockwise till the arrow shows brine and rinse
(III).
• Make sure that the ball contained in the glass (5)
in fig. 3 floats until the suction pipe in the pickle
is completely submerged. If not, check the per-
fect sealing of the connection between the glass
and the pickle, composed of the union and the
pipe.
• Turn the push button onto start (I), connect the
water softener plug with the electrical socket. At
this point, the water softener regenerates by it-
self, stopping on the service (V) position.
• Put salt in the pickle and go on setting the timer.

5. TIMER SETTING (fig. 7)
• Gently pull towards outside all the seven metal
bars.
• Turn the weekly disk till the current day matches
with the day pointer.
• Push the desired bars, remembering that the ti-
mer starts regeneration when meeting a bar on.
• Gently pull towards outside the disk indicating ti-
me and enter the current time referring to the
hour pointer. The timer thus programmed rege-
nerates on the day with the bar on and at two o'-
clock a.m. If you want to carry out the regenera-
tion at a different time, look at the following ta-
ble.
• A time which you want the regeneration
• B coefficient to be added to current time
Example n. 1:
• time which you want the regeneration - 11 o'-
clock
• time which you are programming the timer (cur-
rent time) - 5 p.m.
• operation to be carried out according to the time-
table:
17+15=32;
N.B.: if the result exceeds 24, you need to subtract
24 from the result.
Example n. 2:
• time which you want the regeneration - 7 o'-
clock
• time which you are programming the timer (cur-
rent time) - 9 a.m.
• operation to be carried out:
9+19=28;
Example n. 3:
• time which you want the regeneration - 24 o'-
clock
• time which you are programming the timer - 1
a.m.
• operation to be performed:
1+2=3 time to be set
6. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE (fig. 9)
In order to make the water softener work at best, it
is suggested to follow the under-mentioned at least
once every six months:
1. Remove possible deposits from pickle and suc-
tion pipe
2. Clean the injector (28 F) and its hole where in or-
der to avoid a bad suction from the pickle by
carrying out following instructions (fig. 9):
• Place the taps for the water network connec-
tion onto BY-PASS position (fig. 3). If the fix-
ture has a by-pass group, move the piston in
fig. 4.
• Push the button (fig. 7) and turn it counter-
clockwise using the cam till it reaches the
backwash (II - fig. 7). Leave it in this position
for at least 10 seconds, then turn it again counter-
