Direct wood-to-ground contact is a source of food for termites. Be sure to note areas such
as fences, stairs, trellises, woodpiles, mulch beds, wooden retaining walls, tree stumps and
landscaping timbers. After the stake and locator shield are in place, be sure to note the
installation date and location of each stake on your drawing.
