Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Always remove the plug from the power outlet before cleaning.
CAUTION:
The blades are extremely sharp; always handle by the side opposite to the cutting
edge.
2. Do not use chemical, steel wool or abrasive cleaners to clean the blades or motor housing.
3. Do not place the appliance into water for cleaning, doing so may result in electric shock or fire,
and could damage the appliance.
4. To clean the motor housing, wipe down with a damp, soft cloth and dry thoroughly.
5. To clean the blades, clean by hand with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before
using again.
6. The carving fork and storage case can also be cleaned with warm, soapy water.
7. Make sure the appliance is completely dry before storing.
8. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Do not put any stress on the cord where it
enters the appliance as this could cause it to fray and break.
9. Store in a cool dry place.
