c) The H14.2 can only be operated with the
following types of batteries: 2xICR18650 Li-
Ion battery pack, alkaline batteries AA / LR6
/ Mignon (1.5 V), NiMH AA / LR6 (1.2 V) , 4x
CR123A Li-Ion battery, 2x18650 Li-Ion battery
( all the Li-Ion battery need to have protection
PCB)
Note: This is not a rechargeable light! Therefore,
rechargeable batteries cannot be charged in the
light.
d) If you do not intend to use the item for an
extended period, please remove the batteries to
avoid damage.
e) Used batteries and rechargeable batteries
must be removed and disposed of in accordance
with local laws.
The possibility of rechargeable batteries and
disposable batteries short-circuiting must be
eliminated, so they may not be opened, thrown
into a fire, or enter into the human body in any
way.
12. Headband
The headband can be washed using water.
Please refer to the picture to disassemble and
assemble the headband
13. Cleaning
To clean, use a dry, lint-free, clean cloth.
If salt water is spilled onto the headlamp, it
must be immediately removed entirely using
such a cloth.
The headband can be washed in a washing
machine at 30 °C.
14. Scope of delivery
The H14.2 headlamp is supplied with the
following accessories:
1 x H14.2 Headlamp
4 X AA Alkaline batteries
1 x Manual
15. Caution
Do not swallow any small parts or batteries/
rechargeable batteries that are present. The
product or parts thereof (including batteries)
must be stored out of the reach of children.
For safety and approval reasons (CE), the
product must not be modified and/or changed.
The product is to be used exclusively as a
headlamp. If the H14.2 is used for any other
purpose, or incorrectly, it can get damaged and
hazard-free use is no longer guaranteed (danger
from fire, short-circuiting, electric shock etc.)
and therefore no liability will be assumed for
harm to anyone or damage to property. The
manufacturer's warranty is also rendered null
and void.
The H14.2 can be operated between -25 C° and
+50 C°. Ensure that the H14.2 is not subjected to
more extreme temperatures, intense vibrations,
explosive atmospheres, solvents and/or
vapours. Also, continuous exposure to direct
sunlight, high humidity and/or moisture must
be avoided.
Changes, repairs and maintenance over and
above those described in the documents
accompanying the product may only be carried
out by authorized technical personnel.
If the product is fitted with fresh batteries/
rechargeable batteries in the correct orientation
(polarity!) and closed properly but is still unable
to function safely and normally, or the product
shows damage, it must be rendered inoperable
and not used any further. In this case, contact
your dealer for warranty matters.
16. Safety instructions
• This product is not a children's toy.
• Since it has small parts that can be swallowed,
it is especially not suitable for those under the
age of 5.
• The item may not be used for examinations of
the eyes (e.g. for a pupil test).
• When in use, heat accumulation, e.g. by
covering, must be avoided.
• If the product does not work correctly, the first
thing that must be checked is whether this is
due to empty or incorrectly inserted batteries.
• If using the product in traffic, please follow
the respective legal regulations. The most
hazardous threat posed by this product is
optical radiation known as blue-light hazard (400
nm to 780 nm). The thermal hazard threshold
values are not yet clearly determined.
The risk for the viewer depends on the use of
the product or how it is installed. However,
there is no optical hazard as long as there is a
limit on the exposure time and the information
contained in this instruction manual is observed.
Aversion reactions are triggered by exposure
and are a natural reaction that protects the
eye from hazards through optical radiation.
This includes, in particular, conscious aversion
reactions such as eye or head movement (e.g.
turning away).
When using the product, it is of particular
importance to bear in mind that the aversion
reactions of persons at whom the light is
directed may be weakened or completely
suspended as a result of medication, drugs or
illness.
Due to the blinding effect of the product,
improper use may lead to reversible, i.e.
temporary impairment of sight (physiological
blinding) or afterimages, or it may trigger
nausea and fatigue (through physiological
blinding). The intensity of the temporary
discomfort or the time until the side effects
subside depends primarily on the difference in
brightness between the blinding-light source
and the surrounding area. Photosensitive
people, in particular, ought to consult a medical
professional prior to using this product.
As a rule, high-intensity light sources carry a
high secondary hazard potential due to their
blinding effect. Just like looking into other bright
light sources (e.g. car headlights), the temporary
limited impairment of vision and afterimages
may lead to irritation, inconvenience,
impairments and even accidents, depending on
the situation.
This information applies to the use of a single
product. If more light-emitting products of
the same type or of a different type are used
together, the intensity of the optical radiation
may increase.
