Step 5: Drill an approx. 8mm hole through the wall to the outside communication unit and thread
the connecting wire through the hole. Then seal the hole using e.g. silicon.
Step 6: Hang the Powerbox from the screws, using the attachment holes.
NOTE: To hide the lead to the outside communication unit, preferably drill the hole for the lead
through the wall directly behind the Powerbox. Minimise the effort by fitting the outside
communication unit directly opposite. Try to select the position of the Powerbox accordingly.
Connecting a door opener
The Powerbox has a floating relay contact for operating a door opener using this system. The
connection is available on the outside of the Powerbox via the two blue leads. Please refer to the
included diagram (see on last page) for the door opener connection for information on how to
connect the door opener. Since the door opener requires a bell transformer, you can also supply
power to the Powerbox via this bell transformer.
AC voltage of about 8-10 Volt can be connected to the two red terminals. In this case, the battery
must be removed. Polarity is irrelevant.
WARNING, EXPLOSION HAZARD! The battery must be removed from the equipment when a
bell transformer is connected.
Outside communication unit (suitable for mounting under the plaster only):
Step 1: Find a suitable place for the outside communication unit.
Step 2: In this position, chisel or saw a hole into the wall with the following dimensions: 130 mm
(height)*100 mm (width)*40 mm (depth)
Step 3: Remove the under-plaster box from the outside communication unit by removing
the ower screw and carefully pushing the front part upwards, gently moving to and fro.
Note:
The 6-core lead can easily be removed by pressing on the terminals.
Step 4: Mark the name tag:
1.
Remove the two screws holding the cover plate.
2.
Remove the cover to expose the name tag.
a)
Remove the name tag and write your name on the white piece of paper.
b)
Fit the outside communication unit again by repeating steps 1 and 2 in reverse
order.
Step 5: Align the under-plaster box and fasten in the hole chiselled into the wall using the two
screws.
Step 6: Connect the different coloured cores of the connecting lead in accordance with the
colour codes to the connecting terminals of the outside communication unit. The cores
can be individually shortened.
Step 7: Hang the outside communication unit in the under-plaster box and screw the fixing screw
into the hole provided to affix the outside communication unit to the under-plaster box
again.
