ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION:
ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.
USE CARE WHEN UNPACKING AS
COMPONENTS TO BE ASSEMBLED
MAY POSE A SMALL PARTS/SHARP
EDGE HAZARD.
ASSEMBLY
1 • Remove simulate engine from under seat.
2 • Insert the simulate engine into the vehicle, as
shown in the figure.
3 • Press on the points shown by the arrows on the
toy engine (on each side), to fasten the engine.
4 • Lift both rear shock absorbers, and line them
up with the openings in the chassis.
5 • To fasten the shock absorbers to the chassis,
insert the pins into the top holes on the shocks,
with the tabs turned vertically (see detail).
6 • Finish fastening the shock absorbers by placing
the plastic tool on the pins and hammering the
pins all the way in.
7 • Snap the nut cap into place, and repeat the
operation on the other three wheels.
8 • Insert the two pins into the openings on the
winch, as shown in the figure.
9 • Line up the winch pins with the openings in
the radiator. Lifting the front rack slightly, slide
winch toward radiator until winch pins snap
into the openings. Secure top of winch behind
front rack.
10 • Fasten the grill with the 2 screws.
11 • Attach the two chrome decals to the headlight
positions on the grill.
12 • Snap the two headlights onto the grill.
13 • Attach the chrome decal to the chassis, as
shown in the figure.
14 • Snap the taillight into place by inserting it from
the top.
15 • Fasten the railing to the rear rack by inserting
the two tabs at the ends of the railing into the
two holes in the rack.
16 • Fasten the railing with the two screws on the
end of the rack.
17 • Place the rack on the vehicle, and fasten it with
the four screws.
18 • Snap the toy gas tank cap into place.
19 • Slip the two hand guards onto the handlebars,
lining up the holes in the hand guards with the
holes in the handlebars.
20 • Fasten the hand guards with the two screws.
21 • Slip the handgrips onto the handlebars as
shown.
22 • Snap the handlebar into place on the vehicle.
23 • Unscrew the screw and remove the lens from
the speedometer, prying on the right side as
shown in the figure.
24 • Remove the speedometer with the battery
holder.
25 • Connect a 9-volt battery to the battery holder.
(Battery does not come with the vehicle.)
26 • Place the speedometer back in the handlebar,
and attach decal number 12 before replacing
the lens.
INSTALLING BATTERY
CHARGE BATTERY BEFORE USING.
27 • Turn the seat lock to the "unlock" position
shown in the diagram, and lift the seat. NOTE:
Seat has a lock and unlock position.
28 • Press the battery latch downwards and open
the battery compartment cover.
29 • Lift and remove the battery compartment lid.
30 • Lift the battery latch.
31 • Position the battery in the vehicle as shown,
with the wires toward the front of the vehicle.
32 • Connect the battery wire plug to the electrical
system plug.
33 • Slide the battery into the battery compartment.
34 • Lower the battery latch to fasten the battery
with the tab shown in the figure.
35 • Replace the battery compartment lid.
36 • Close the battery compartment cover and the
seat. ATTENTION: Always make sure that the
seat is closed and locked after carrying out any
operations inside it.
VEHICLE FEATURES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR
USE
37 • HORN: Press the button on the handlebar.
38 • ACCELERATOR/BRAKE PEDAL: The vehicle will
automatically brake when the child takes his
foot off the accelerator.
39 • WINCH: To unwind the tow hook, pull the cord
out. To rewind the cord, turn the handle on the
winch (The cord is about 20 cm. long, in
conformity with child safety regulations).
40 • GEAR SHIFT LEVER: The vehicle has three
speeds. ATTENTION: When the vehicle is first
removed from the packing, it only runs in first
gear (1) and reverse (R). To use the second gear
(2), proceed as follows:
41 • Screw down the high speed lockout as shown
in the figure.
42 • 1-R: The high speed lockout pin protrudes
from the body, preventing the gearshift lever
from moving down to the second gear. 1-2-R:
The high speed lockout is completely screwed
into the body, and the gearshift lever can be
lowered.
REMOVING THE BATTERY
43 • To remove the battery, lift the seat and open
the cover on the battery compartment. Remove
the battery.
44 • Disconnect the plugs.
45 • Reinstall the battery and reconnect the plugs.
Close the battery compartment.
BATTERY RECHARGE
WARNING:
WARNING: BATTERY CHARGING
AND ANY OTHER OPERATION ON
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MUST BE
CARRIED OUT BY ADULTS ONLY.
THE BATTERY CAN ALSO BE CHARGED
WITHOUT REMOVING IT FROM THE
VEHICLE.
46 • Disconnect the electrical system plug (A) from
the battery plug (B) by pressing on the sides of
the plugs.
47 • Plug the battery charger into a household
electrical outlet, following the instructions that
come with the battery charger. Connect plug B
to battery charger plug C.
48 • After the battery has finished charging,
disconnect the battery charger from the
electrical outlet, then disconnect plug C from
plug B.
49 • Press plug B all the way into plug A, until it
snaps into place. After finishing this operation,
always remember to close and fasten the seat,
using the red seat latch.
INSTALLING SPARE PARTS
To avoid your having to send the entire vehicle to
the service center, we provide information below on
how to replace some of the vehicle parts.
HANDLEBAR:
50 • To replace the handlebar, open the seat and
remove the battery. Slip your hand into the
battery compartment and locate the steering
lever.
51 • Press the two buttons on the steering lever to
release the handlebars, while pulling the
handlebar upwards and off the vehicle. NOTE:
It takes two people to remove the handlebar.
GEAR SHIFT LEVER - TO REMOVE:
52 • To replace the interior gearshift lever unit, open
the seat and remove the battery. Turn the
vehicle on its side. Loosen the two screws on
the bottom of the vehicle, shown at points 1
and 2 in the figure. Using a pair of pliers,
remove the stationary wire strap (3).
53 • Turn the vehicle upright, on its four wheels.
Position the gear shift lever in second gear and
loosen the screw that holds it in place. Remove
the gearshift lever.
GEAR SHIFT LEVER - TO REPLACE:
54 • Slip your hand into the battery compartment
and remove the interior gearshift lever unit.
55 • Disconnect the two components, as shown in
the figure.
56 • Reconnect the two components and place the
gear shift lever unit back into the battery
compartment, inserting the two pins into the
holes in the body. At the same time, pull the
electrical wires up from the bottom of the
vehicle. Note: Make sure that the electrical wire
is threaded through its special housing in the
gearshift lever unit base (see figure).
57 • Place the vehicle on its side. Fasten the two
screws to the gearshift lever unit, and snap the
stationary wire strap back onto the bottom of
the vehicle.
58 • Turn the vehicle upright again, and insert the
gear shift lever into its housing (which must be
positioned in second gear). Tighten the screws
BATTERY MAINTENANCE
AND SAFETY
Before riding, charge your batteries
for 18 hours to initiate them. Failure
to do this will result in permanent
battery damage.
CAUTION:
Only adults should recharge batteries
never children.
Never allow children to handle
batteries.
Only use the batteries specified by
the manufacturer. Only use the
charger specified by the
manufacturer.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline,standard (carbon-
