THE Art. 0925 / 0925S BRUSH MODEL IS NOT INDICATED FOR A USEFUL USE AS THE SANDING OF THE MASSETS.
When first handling the machine, use 1st gear on a spacious, smooth surface, without any obstacles, to familiarise yourself with
how to guide the machine.
The 0960S brushing machines are made to rotate at two different speeds:
1st Gear:
Slow speed - with a brush speed of 55/60 rpm.
2nd Gear:
High speed - with a brush speed of 110/120 rpm.
a) Use the lever on the machine base to set the handle to the position best suited to you. (0960/0960S)
6
IT IS BEST TO SET THE HANDLE TO A HEIGHT THAT ALLOWS THE OPERATOR TO USE THE MACHINE
WITH HIS ARMS STRAIGHT.
b) Select the speed required, using the selector on the front of the handle.
c) 1) Start the machine using the two start levers provided on the 0960 models.
2) Start the machine using the right hand starting lever on the 0960S models.
TO REDUCE THE INITIAL DRAG ON THE FLOOR, IT IS BEST TO PULL THE MACHINE TOWARDS YOURSELF
WHEN STARTING IT. ONLY CHANGE THE MACHINE SPEED WHEN IT IS STOPPED.
Forward movement
13
Twist the handle slightly anticlockwise.
Backward movement
14
Twist the handle slightly clockwise.
Moving to the right
15
Raise the handle slightly.
Moving to the left
16
Lower the handle slightly.
Do not force the machine. It will produce its best performance in complete safety only when used under the operating conditions
for which it is intended.
RESIDUAL RISK
During the design phase, BATTIPAV SRL paid particular attention to the aspects that may generate risks for the safety and health
of operators. In spite of this, there are still some potential risks, which are described below:
Danger of presence of electric current:
The machine has an internal electric system. CONNECT THE MACHINE TO A SYSTEM WITH DIFFERENTIAL
PROTECTION AND EFFECTIVE EARTH WIRE.
Danger of prolonged exposure to noise:
The continuative use of the machine causes an exposure to noise levels above 85 dB (A).
OPERATORS MUST USE PROPER EAR DEFENDERS.
Danger of accidental contact with the moving tool.
OPERATORS MUST WEAR HEAVY PROTECTIVE GLOVES
ALWAYS STAY IN THE WORKING POSITION (Pos. 1 picture 11) DURING THE MACHINE OPERATION PHASES:
•
During the cutting tool deceleration following the machine stop.
IN ORDER TO WORK IN SAFETY CONDITIONS, DO NOT LET OTHER PEOPLE REMAIN NEAR THE MACHINE DURING THE OPERATIONS.
MAINTENANCE
BEFORE PERFORMING ANY OPERATION OR ADJUSTMENT, DISCONNECT THE MACHINE FROM THE SUPPLY
MAINS.
NOT PLACE THE MACHINE IN REVERSED
CLEANING
DO NOT WASH THE MACHINE WITH HIGH PRESSURE WATER JETS
