Clearance
For minimum clearance calculation, sum-up variables provided in
the figure 5D for a given situation. Clearance is related to the worst
possible fall case scenario. By minimizing the fall factor, fall length
is substantially reduced. In case of a fall the rescuer may lower the
casualty to the ground by manipulating the rope adjustment
element (figure 5E).
In case of attaching retractable type fall arresters (EN 360) or
guided type fall arresters (EN 353-2) to the LORY RopeLine consult
Skylotec for approval. When using the LORY RopeLine anchor
device with retractable type fall arresters with a max. length of 2.0
m the clearance may be calculated based on their overall length.
Inclination to the horizontal plane
Maximum 15° (figure 5F).
Number of persons
Maximum 2 persons (figure 5G).
Deflection and force on the anchors in case of a fall
Deflection is dependent on the length of the flexible lifeline, the
correct pre-tension and number of anchors (figure 5H).
