Arm
Slide the optical tube dovetail into the fork arm as shown.
Refractor shown, the Newtonian mounts the same way.

NEWTONIAN
Select the low power (25 mm) eyepiece and insert it as shown
above. Tighten silver screw to secure.

Attach the plastic hand control holder to the tripod leg and slide
the computerized hand control into the hand control holder.

Gently remove the battery holder from inside the battery compartment.

You are now ready to start using your LCM Refractor telescope.

Telescope
Mounting Knob
Secure the tube to the base by tightening the telescope mounting
knob on the top of the base.

REFRACTOR
NEWTONIAN
Loosen the two Philips-head screws on the side of the fi nderscope
and slide the clamp over the dovetail bracket. Secure the fi nderscope
in place by tightening the two Philips-head screws.

Plug Computerized Hand Control into the "hand control" port on
the fork arm.

Place 8-AA batteries (user supplied) inside the battery holder. Return
the battery holder back inside the base and replace the cover.

You are now ready to start using your LCM Newtonian telescope.

Insert the chrome barrel of the star diagonal into the focuser on
your Refractor and tighten the two silver screws to secure in place.
The Newtonian telescope does not use this diagonal, skip this step.

On/Off
Switch
Remove the small plastic tab under the battery cover by pulling it
straight out. For longer battery life be sure to turn off fi nderscope
when not in use.

Press the tab on the front of the battery compartment and remove
the cover.

Remove the lens cap from the front of the telescope before you
begin observing.
