The telephone uses the programmed area
code to determine the number format to
display when a valid Caller ID signal is
received and is also used for the Dialback
feature.
1. Press the OPTION button.
SET OR
2. Press either REVIEW (
until LOCAL AREA CODE appears.
3. To enter and change the area code,
press OPTION again. The display shows
the present area code stored. The left-
most digit or a minus sign (-) flashes,
indicating it is ready to accept the area
code entry.
4. Press 1–9 on the key pad to input the
code. In case of mistakes, press ERASE
button to clear all 3 and re-enter.
5. When the desired digit is flashing, press
either REVIEW (
advance to the next digit.
6. Press OPTION button again to store the
area code and return to the "LOCAL
AREA CODE" display.
