WHEN OPERATION IS CORRECT, DRAIN WATER AND FILL WITH SUPERACTIVATED FERRIC CHLORIDE
ONLY USE SUPERACTIVATED FERRIC CHLORIDE
Ordinary ferric chloride clogs up the pump and soils Plexiglass trap doors.
Superactivated ferric chloride is able to crystallise sludge with a more constant etching curve and is self-cleaning.
REJECTIONS : Respect the regulations relative to ferric chloride (Fe C13). Rejections into pipes are forbidden. Please ask us
for neutralization : a neutralization kit for 40 litres of ferric chloride is available. This kit conforms to current legislation.
ETCHING
It is advisable to install a light behind etching chamber (for Girojet II) to stop precisely at the end to etching controlling epoxy by
transparency.
CLIP your circuit developed with pliers and slide these into etching chamber.
Set timer according to copper thickness to be etched (18-35 or 79 microns). Once etched, the circuit still held with pliers must be
rinsed.
Circuit is ready to be stripped and drilled
An available multi circuit pliers can etch simultaneously several small circuit board with integral etching (without holding it with
pliers)

MAINTENANCE
Drain the machine when etching time has doubled (conforms to chloride rejection rules)
To keep the machine clean every two fillings :
REGULARLY fill your machine with 8 litres of water and 5 doses of detergent (AR35 code), operate the machine during 10
-
minutes (minimum).
Chloride may damage the motor.
When lifting upper part of the machine, pay attention to Pyrex resistor sheath (21)
Incidents
The pump does not operate at switching on
Check the mains

- Check the fuse
The arms do not rotate
Check whether nozzles are symmetrically tilted in relation with their axis;

If The Pump Is Noisy
- check chloride level and add some, if necessary
IRREGULAR ETCHING – Check that nozzles are not clogged.
