Note: If the coffeemaker has not been unplugged the last delayed brewing time will appear on
the digital display.
5. To change the time: press HOUR button until the desired correct time appears on the
display. Repeat with the MIN button.
Note: If the hour is not changed the clock will CONTINUE TO FLASH 12:00.
6. Press the AUTO button to activate the delayed brewing. The AUTO light illuminates.
7. To check the preset auto time, press program (PROG) button and hold it. Once button is
released, the clock time displays again.
8. If you want to change the preset auto time, press the (AUTO) button to cancel the preset
time. The light will turn off.
9. Follow steps 3 through 6 under DELAYED BREWING.
10. To cancel delayed brewing, press the AUTO button. The AUTO light shuts off. To brew
coffee immediately press the ON/OFF button.
FOR TEA
1. Follow steps 1 through 10 under BREWING TEA.
2. Follow steps 2 through 10 for DELAYED BREWING for coffee.
• Swirl the brewed tea before serving.
• Remove the tea leaves before serving to avoid bitterness and oversteeping.
• The best way to measure tea is by weight not by volume: use 4 to 5 grams to 8 ounces
of water.
• Keep tea fresh; buy smaller quantities more often to preserve flavor.
• Store tea in a tightly sealed opaque container.
• If making tea for iced tea, double the amount of tea used in brewing.
Care and Cleaning
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel.
CLEANING
• Be sure the unit is unplugged and has cooled.
• Open the cover.
• To remove the filter basket, grip the handle and lift straight up. Discard the paper filter, if
used, and the coffee grounds.
• Wash the filter basket, permanent coffee filter, tea filter, carafe and carafe lid in dishwasher,
top rack or wash by hand in hot water and soap.
• Wipe the appliance's exterior surface, control panel and "Keep Hot" plate with a soft damp
cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads. Never immerse the coffeemaker in
water.
• To clean the inside of the cover, open the cover and leave in the open position. Wipe
surfaces with a damp cloth.
AUTO CLEAN
We recommend cleaning your coffeemaker once a month.
Important: Remove the water filter holder with carbon filter before activating the
AUTO CLEAN.
1. Combine 6 cups of white vinegar and 4 cups of cold water in carafe.
2. Pour into water reservoir.
3. Place an 8 to 12 cup cupcake style paper filter in the removable filter basket. Insert filter
basket into filter basket holder and close lid.
4. Make sure the lid of the carafe is in place and place empty carafe on the "Keep Hot" carafe
plate.

5. Plug power cord into an outlet.
6. Press AUTO CLEAN to activate cleaning cycle; the AUTO CLEAN light flashes.
7. Part of the mixture will brew through. Remaining mixture will be held in coffeemaker
for 30 minutes before completing its brew through.
Note: The entire cleaning cycle will take 45-60 minutes to complete.
8. When the coffeemaker completes the AUTO CLEAN cycle, it beeps and shuts off
automatically.
9. Brew fresh water through appliance following instructions given in GETTING STARTED
before brewing coffee again.
WATER FILTER HOLDER
1. Press latch on filter holder to open.
2. Take out carbon filter.
3. Place carbon filter on top of a paper towel.
4. Filter holder is top rack dishwasher safe or it may be hand washed in warm, sudsy water.
5. Rinse carbon filter with tap water.
6. Place carbon filter back inside filter holder.
7. Close the filter holder tightly until it snaps into place .
8. Place filter holder inside the water reservoir and insert it into the recess at the bottom
right hand corner .
Note: To replace filter see WATER FILTER REPLACEMENT section.
Note: Replace carbon filter every 60 brewing cycles or every 2 months after removing it
from the sealed packaging.
