PUMP PREPARATION FOR WELL AND SURFACE WATER
FOR WELL INSTALLATIONS
1. Thread the 2 in. MPT x 2 in. slip adapter into the
2 in. foot valve which is included with the pump.
(Fig. 17)
2. Glue 2 in. pipe into the adapter. Glue enough
sections of pipe together using 2 in. couplers
in order for the foot valve to be completely
submerged in water. Be sure suction pipe will
remain fully submerged at the lowest expected
level of the water source. (Fig. 18 & 19)
3. Install well seal in order to hold the drop pipe
(suction pipe) in position in the well. (Fig. 20)
4. Glue a 90º elbow when the suction pipe is in line
with the suction port of the pump. (Fig. 21)
FOR SURFACE WATER INSTALLATIONS
For surface water installations, follow steps 1 and 2
above and then follow steps below:
1. Glue a 45º elbow when the suction pipe is in line
with the suction port of the pump. (Fig. 22)
2. Support suction pipe with pipe support. (Fig. 23)
