• Locate the Velcro® straps near the corners of the mattress.
• Slide one corner strap through the slot in the floor of the bassinet and secure to the underside of the bassinet. See Figure 6.3. Repeat this
step on the other three corners.
• Attach the Velcro® strips located at each top corner of the bassinet to the playard. See Figure 6.4.
Please read these instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference.
• Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could result in serious injury or death.
• FALL HAZARD: To prevent death or serious injury, always keep child within arm's reach.
• Never leave child unattended.
• The changing table is designed for use ONLY with this Joovy playard. DO NOT use on any other products or
surfaces.
• The weight limit for the changing table is 25 lbs. (11 kg). DO NOT use changing table as storage.
• DO NOT use changing table as a sleeping or play area.
• DO NOT use changing table if it is damaged or broken.
• STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can lift the changing table and get neck caught between changing table and
playard frame. ALWAYS remove changing table when child is in the playard.
• Before each use, make sure the changing table is properly secured by pushing down firmly in the center of the
changing table.
7 Installing and Using the Changing Table
• Ensure the playard is erected properly. The changing table can be used with or without the bassinet attached.
• Locate the changing table, the short changing table tubes, and the changing table attachment clamps.
• Note where the short changing table tubes and changing table attachment corners are labeled "A" and "B."
• With the tubes properly positioned ("A" connects to "A" and "B" connects to "B"), feed the plastic piping edges of the changing table
through the slits in the short tubes until both sides are attached. See Figure 7.1.
• Connect both short tubes to the four corners by connecting "A" to "A" and "B" to "B." See Figure 7.2.
• Once all tubes are connected, connect the snaps of the changing table to all four attachment corners. See Figure 7.3.
• Slide the attachment clamps to each corner until they click firmly into place. See Figure 7.4.
• Rotate the changing table over onto the top rails. Firmly snap the changing table attachment clamps onto the long rails of the playard.
See Figure 7.5. Check to ensure all four attachments are secured on the rails. If the bassinet is installed, the changing table attachment
clamps should not interfere with the bassinet attachments.
TIP: Push down on the attachments towards the center of the rail before doing the outer attachments for an easier installation.
• Attach the extra side clamps to the nearest short side of the playard. See Figure 7.6.
• Carefully lay the child on the changing table and use the buckle to secure the restraint strap around the child's waist. The strap can be
adjusted to fit the child properly.
• When not in use, the changing table can hang off the the side of the playard without getting in the way of the bassinet. See Figure 7.7.
• To unattach the parts of the changing table for folding, push in the metal pin at one end of a short tube and pull the tube away from the
corner. See Figure 7.8. Repeat for all sides.
Maintenance
All of the fittings, locks, rivets, and other hardware and plastic parts on the playard should be inspected periodically to insure that they are
secured properly and not damaged or malfunctioning. The straps and fabric items and their stitching should also be inspected periodically to
ensure that they are secured properly and not loose, torn or otherwise damaged. All moving parts, such as wheels, and hinges should also
be checked periodically to ensure they are operating properly.
If using this item at the beach you must clean sand off of ALL the parts before packing it into the travel bag. Getting sand in the top rail
locking mechanisms may damage these mechanisms.
Any missing, broken, or worn components should be replaced immediately, and the playard should not be used until they are replaced. Only
original manufacturer's components should be used. If needed, please contact Joovy (USA) or ISSI Inc. (Canada) at our toll-free phone
number.
