SETPOINT DYNAMICS:
With the VMF-E4X user interface it is possible to select the regulation temperature value, the excursion range of this value depends on the
operation mode or the dead band (see the following tables).
CONTROL LOGICS
The thermostat will select the type of fan control depending on the type of machine in which it will be used. For inverter fans with an
electric induction motor (on/off at 3 speeds), the "three-level thermostat control" will be used; inverter fans with a brushless motor
will use a linear regulated power supply 0÷100 %.
3-LEVEL THERMOSTAT
The figure below shows the fan operating in Automatic mode (selector on AUTO) on the basis of the proportional error.
In Manual mode (selector on position V1, V2 or V3), the fan follows On-Off cycles at the selected speed, whereas in Auto it follows
On-Off cycles according to the thresholds of speed V1. If the fan coil is equipped with an electric heater, each single activation of the
heater will require a pre-ventilation phase of about 20" at speed V1. Once the request for ventilation with heater enabled has been
fulfilled, there will be a 60" post-ventilation phase at speed V1.
The paragraph "Enabling ventilation" explains the fan enabling/disabling logic in relation to the temperature of the water in the heat
exchanger, whereas "Electric heater" explains how ventilation with an active heater works.
The dead band shown in the image can be 2°C or 5°C depending how dip switch 7 is set up
