Application
Can be used in conjunction with: Pressurised storage
heaters, thermally and hydraulically controlled
instantaneous heaters. Operation with low-pressure
displacement water heaters is not possible.
Specifications
• Flow pressure min. 0.5 bar - recommended 1 - 5
bar
• Operating pressure
• Test pressure
If static pressure is greater than 5 bar, fit pressure
reducer.
Avoid major pressure differences between cold and
hot water supply.
• Flow rate at 3 bar flow pressure
• Temperature
Hot water inlet:
Recommended:
• Water connection
Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly!
Wall mounting
Install S-unions and screw-mount the mixer, see fold-
out page I, Fig. [1].
Refer to the dimensional drawings on fold-out page I.
1. Install the S-unions and sleeve, preassembled with
the escutcheon.
2. Screw-mount the mixer.
3. Push the sleeve with escutcheon onto the union nut.
4. Screw the escutcheon flush against the wall.
The cold-water supply must be connected on the right
and the hot-water supply on the left.
The projection can be increased by 30mm with an
extension (46 238), see replacement parts, fold-out
page II.
Fit swivel spout
Swivel range adjustable by means of stop (A),
see Fig. [2].
Open hot and cold-water supply and check
connections for leakage!
Check fitting for correct operation, see Fig. [3].
Temperature limiter
On delivery, the temperature limiter (fitted as standard)
is inoperative.
For commissioning see "Replacing the cartridge"
point 1 to 4.
Remove temperature limiter (J) and, depending on the
maximum temperature required, turn clockwise (to
increase temperature) or anticlockwise (to reduce
temperature) and refit, see Figs. [4] and [5].
Flow rate limiter
This mixer is fitted with a flow rate limiter, permitting an
infinitely individual variable reduction in the flow rate.
The highest possible flow rate is set by the factory
before despatch.
The use of flow rate limiters in combination with
max. 10 bar
hydraulic instantaneous water heaters is not
16 bar
recommended.
For commissioning see "Replacing the cartridge"
point 1 to 5, Fig. [4] and [6].
Maintenance
approx. 8 l/min
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and
(maximum) 80 °C
grease with Grohe special grease (order no. 18 012).
(energy saving) 60 °C
cold - right
Shut off hot and cold water supply!
hot - left
I. Replacing the cartridge, see Fig. [4].
1. Lever out plug (B).
2. Remove set screw (C) using a 3mm socket spanner
and pull off lever (D).
3. Release screw (E) and pull off collar (G).
4. Unscrew cap (H).
5. Pull off temperature limiter (J).
6. Remove screws (K) and detach complete
cartridge (L).
7. Change complete cartridge (L).
Assemble in reverse order.
Caution
In this process, note the relative positions of the
collar (G) and lever (D). The lugs (M) on the collar (G)
must engage the central recesses (N) in the lever (D),
see Fig. [7].
Make sure that the cartridge seals engage in the
grooves on the housing. Fit screws (K) and tighten
evenly and alternately.
II. Unscrew and clean flow straightener (13 960), see
fold-out page II.
Assemble in reverse order.
Replacement parts, see fold-out page II ( * = special
accessories).
