Assembly of 030 balustrade
55. S crew component 033063 on to brace 046036 with the 011038 screws (Fig. 2). Cut the 121028 post at 92,5 cm,
assemble it with the 033149 fixing component and items 011063 and 005036, insert it into component
033063 and fix it with items 001004, positioning the C63 tie according to the direction of the handrail.
56. P osition components 033008 on landing, using components 002040 and 001004. Drill landing with a 4.5 mm
bit, keeping a distance between centres of no more than 12 cm.
57. Position balusters 122014 and tighten component 001004 (Fig. 2).
58. Fix straight handrail 140053 using components 002031 (Fig. 2).
59. D epending on position and presence of walls around the stairwell, it may be necessary to position one or two
extra balusters 122014 (Fig. 9).
60. I n this case, a space must be considered that is at the same distance from the other balusters or from the
wall. Drill landing with a 5 mm bit and assemble with components 033008, 001004 and 002040 (Fig. 2).
61. Assembly of floor-mounted balustrade, if applicable (Fig. 15)
Determine the position of the posts on the floor, on average one every 12 cm and at a distanza of 8 cm from
the edge.
Take care: for circular balustrades, use the circular handrail to determine the distance of the posts from the
edge of the floor aperture – this distance varies according to the radius of the circular handrail supplied. Drill
with a Ø 12 mm bit and assemble components 033008 with items 008007. Fix the first balustrade balusters
(H= 935 mm) using component 033010 and items 008004, 011053, 033046 (drill with an Ø 8 mm bit). Insert
the remaining 122014 balustrade balusters (H= 935 mm) into the 033008 components, with the 126009
reinforcing baluster about every metre, and lock them with components 001004. Assemble the 140053
or 140073 handrails to the balusters with the 002031 components using items 031076 and 046011
for straight balustrades and items 031073, 031077 and 002026 for circular balustrades. Assemble any
031061, 031072, 031071 connecting components and the 031061 terminal components.
Final assembly
62. T o further reinforce the staircase at intermediate points, fix components 033010 to wall and join to the
balusters, using components 033046. Drill with an 8 mm bit and use components 008004, 011053,
011057, 005035 (Fig. 12) (Fig. 14).
