Switching off the Iron and Storage

1. Place iron on the shelf of the ironing station.
2. Switch off the steam generator and steam iron
(On/Off switch [9] and [10]).
Control lamps will go out.
3. Remove main plug [1] and [7] from power
socket.
4. Let device cool off completely.

Care and Maintenance

Rinse out the steam generator (decalcification):
Clean the pressurized steam ironing station once every
three months as follows:
1. Shut down complete pressurized steam ironing system.
(see Switching off the Iron and Storage)
2. Hold steam station with both hands and carefully
unlock by slightly pushing the two red handles located
underneath the station apart. Then lift upward to
remove from the guide.
3. Fill water tank of steam generator with regular tap
water, rinse and drain. Shake device slightly.
Never use additives.
4. From above, carefully insert rinsed steam station into
the guides located on the ironing table and re-lock.

Cleaning of the steam ironing system
Wipe the surface of the device with a damp cloth.
Never use sharp, abrasive objects or corrosive
chemicals for cleaning.
Using a dampened cloth, remove any surface
soiling. If a damp cloth fails to remove the
deposits, we recommend you use the rough side of
a scouring sponge (no metal-coated materials),
vigrously rubbing the iron sole up and down a few
times. This method will also remove smaller surface
scratches.
The permeability of the felt lining is reduced over
time as a result of the continuous ironing pressure
and from becoming clogged with dust particles and
lint, thereby reducing the performance of your steam
ironing board.
The Leifheit special ironing board cover [4] is
particularly air and steam-permeable. This is why we
recommend you use only original Leifheit accessories.
Place the Steam Ironinig System in a safe position
so that it will not fall over.
The transport lock should be engaged to secure the
frame whilst the board is folded up.
For storage, cleaning or maintenance purposes the
steam station can be separated from the ironing
table (see Care and Maintenence).
