4. Mounting Instructions

Before fixing the device, check if the function at the selected mounting place will
be guaranteed. Because of constructional conditions the range can be strongly
influenced by little variation of the chosen mounting place. Avoid mounting at metal
surfaces or reinforced concrete. This materials are shielding and reducing the range.
5. Installation bell push (Transmitter)
The transmitter is delivered with battery. To avoid unintentional transmitting the
battery is taped by an isolation stripe to inactiv. Before starting, the protection tape for
the contacts must be removed. While pulling the lower part of the front downwards,
the battery compartment (12) could be opened.
Now also the sliding switch (11) (1 to 4) for the coding is visible. This switch must be
in the same position on transmitter and on receiver side. If the receiver gives a signal,
without operation of the transmitter, this switch must be changed to another position,
but also for transmitter and receiver to the same position.
Under the transparent cover, which can be removed with a sharpen thing (Voltage
detector) , can be found another switch (10) »A B C«. Herewith you can choose either
one of three possible signal sounds for the receiver, or when using several trans-
mitters, you can recognize, with corresponding setting of the receiver, optically and
acoustically which transmitter was activated.
Under the transparent cover you can also attach your name.
Connection with an existing bell (A1)
The transmitter can be pursued directly with an existing bell. With the connection
clamp middel and right, the transmitter can be connected in parallel to an existing
bell, in case the operating voltage of the chime amounts between 8 and 12 volts of DC
voltage or change tension. With this mode of opera-tion the battery has to be removed
from the battery com-partment.
To get an optimal range of the transmitter, the distance between transmitter and bell
should amount to at least 30 to 40cm.
If you use this connection possibility, it is not possible to connect also an external bell
push button to the transmitter.
Connection with a separate bell push button (A2)
The transmitter can be activated alternatively also with a separate bell push button.
This bell push button may not be connected with the existing bell. Then the battery
must remain in the transmitter. The used bell push must be unlighted.Existing bulbs
must be removed.
The connection clamps middle and left are connected for this purpose by a twin-wire
cable to the bell push button.
ATTENTION:
Never short-out connection clamps left and right due to short circuit danger
for the battery.
