The Trend Airmask Pro Full-Face Mask is designed to protect the respiratory system and face against hazardous gases and particles.
It is not a complete respiratory protective device by itself, but serves as a face piece for use with approved Trend respiratory
filters. Respirator Filter selection shall be based upon full knowledge of, and professional evaluations of, the contaminants and
their maximum content in the subject atmosphere. This device does NOT supply oxygen, and must only be used in adequately
ventilated areas containing at least 19.5 percent oxygen. Do not use for respiratory protection against atmospheric
contami nants/concentrations which are unknown, exhibit poor warning properties or are immediately dangerous to life.
The respirator should not be used in an oxygen deficient or oxygen-enriched environment, for escape purposes or by people
with facial hair growth between the skin and facepiece sealing surface such as stubble, beard growth, or sideburns which cross
the respirator surface or in an atmosphere where contaminant concentrations exceed those levels that are dangerous to life.

Prior to use, Carryout a leak tightness test. The product must not be used if this test is unsuccessful, or if the product is found
to be damaged, or if the servicing / maintenance has not been undertaken, or if genuine Trend spare parts have not been

Description
The Trend Airmask Pro Full-face mask has been tested and approved to EN 136 to provide the approved level of respiratory
protection to a user and provide limited eye protection against impact.
The mask is available in three sizes - Small, Medium and Large. This allows a higher probability of a good fit being achieved.
The mask has S/M/L marked on orinasal and face seal to designate size.
The respirator consists of an outer face seal with polycarbonate visor that covers the user's face, an integrated inner Orinasal
mask with inhalation and exhalation valves that covers the user's nose, mouth and chin, a head harness with 5 mounting
points that hold the respirator in place, and two filter bayonets for connecting Trend Filter elements.
The inhaled air flows through the filter elements and inhalation valves into the inner mask. Part of the air flows past the
inside of the visor in order to prevent misting. The exhaled air is discharged from the face piece through an exhalation valve. A
spectacle frames for fitting corrective lenses is available as an accessory.
Pre-Use Checks
WARNING: Before donning the respirator always perform the following checks.
Ensure that the respirator is clean and dry.
Check the respirator, valves, harness and visor for cracks, missing parts, and other defects.
Check that the appropriate filters are undamaged and installed correctly, with the filter and mask arrows
aligned. (See diagrams 01, 02 and 03) When fitting the filters, they will require a firm steady pressure clock
wise when viewed from the front.
The 2 x filter elements must be identical.
Donning
WARNING: In order to guarantee a proper fit for those wearing corrective spectacles, the Trend spectacle kit must
be fitted as normal glasses cannot be worn under the mask.
Select appropriate sized mask. Recommended sizes are: Small <120mm, 109-131mm Medium and > 120mm
Large. Based on distance between top of nose and chin. (See diagram 00).
Slacken the head harness straps.
Move the head harness upwards and spread with both hands, place your chin in the facepiece and pull the
head harness over your head. (See diagram 05).
Ensure head harness is sitting correctly and not twisted. (See diagram 06).
Tension the straps by pulling the free strap ends towards the rear. (See diagram 07).
Adjust the fit of the mask on your face, so that it fits firmly but comfortably.
Perform a fit check.
Leak Testing
WARNING: A proper fit check must be successfully completed each time the respirator is worn. Failure to achieve a
proper face-to-respirator seal before you enter a hazardous atmosphere may result in little or no respiratory protection.
Negative Pressure check
Place palms of hands over filter elements to provide an airtight seal (See diagram 08).
Inhale gently,
The respirator should pull inward on the face.
Hold your breath, the respirator should remain collapsed on the face.
If air leaks between the face and the face seal adjust the harness straps for a more secure seal and repeat test.
If leak test fails, the mask cannot be used and should be checked for serviceability.
During Use
WARNING: If you experience any one of the following signs whilst using the product, leave the hazardous area
immediately. Return to fresh air, and seek assistance.

You smell or taste the contaminant.
Your equipment becomes damaged.
Slacken the straps .
Pull the head harness forward over your head and remove the respirator.

diagram 11).
Remove 2x flat Inhalation valves in the orinasal and the two valves in the visor and refit new parts
ensuring they are correctly seated and flat (See diagram 12).
To avoid confusion the exhalation valve is stepped and larger than the two flat inhalation valves
Refit Orinasal assembly - reverse of removal.
Carry out a leak tightness test
Maintenance Intervals
Trend recommends the above maintenance intervals but extreme operating environments may require a more frequent
servicing interval to be adopted.
If components have been replaced (visor, Inhale/Exhale valves), a test for leak-tightness must be carried out.
The test is also done in case of a mask stored unused for a longer period, and at least once a year.
