When connected incorrectly, the
housing of the light may carry
electric voltage.
For lights of international

protection class I, the pro-
tective earth conductor must be
connected to the light!
Lights of international

protection class III must
be operated only with safety
extra low voltage (SELV)!
¾ The connection must only by
carried out by a skilled electri-
cian!
The light has to be connected

according to the applicable
regulations for installation.
Connection
The standard version of the light is
delivered with a lateral connector
(see Fig. 21).
Special models can be equipped
with a connecting cable led through
the side and/or with a terminal.
For lights with built-in plug, a
coupling which guarantees the
compliance with the international
protection class must be used
for connection. Note: Respective
connector parts can be supplied by
the manufacturer of the lights.
For lights with accompanying
terminal strip, the outlet must
correspond to the protection class
of the light and be adequately
dimensioned for the terminal
strip.
