Radio/CD/LF/µP module
Note!
The product will turn into safety mode if failure in the power supply appears or in
the amplifi er. (Error 0E71 or 0E72 in TM 27).
The standby diode will fl ash in safety mode. Disconnect from mains in 5 sec. to
reset the product.
In test mode the safety mode is disabled.
It may damage the product to restart in TM from safety mode.
The exchange module PCB1 (Radio/CD/LF/µP) contains a special and individual
"digital exchange-code" due to theft protection. Therefore if it is not possible to
use a PCB1 from an other BeoSound1 during service.
It is possible to try out the new module for 12 hours ON-time or until the PIN code
is used.
After 12 hours the Radio/CD/LF/µP module is named to the product and cannot be
used in an other product, because the "digital exchange-code" has been
transferred to the µP the module and must go back to Bang & Olufsen module
repair department as an exchange module to be erased again.
If it is necessary to exchange PCB1 and PCB3 at the same time (for instance due
to damage from lightning) both modules have to be named from Bang & Olufsen
service department, due to the fact that BeoSound 1 is prepared for theft protection.
