7.1 Display's Calibration, without Analogical Outlet Adjustment (Model EI-185)
A. With no load on the sensor, adjust the zero reading in the display. By the trimpot RV1, adjust the
"coarse" zero and by the RV5, adjust the "fine" zero.
B. With load on the sensor roll, adjust the span RV2 until achieve the reading of 1000, considering the applied
load is 100% of the maximum value. If the load applied is 50% of the maximum load, the indicator
must read 50%, and so on, proportionally.
C. Remove the load, and if required, readjust the zero reading and repeat the item C.
D. With load on the sensor roll, adjust the display reading in the engineering scale desired (kgf, N,
ton., etc.), by the trimpot RV3.
7.2 Analogical Outlet Calibration (Models EI-185 / EI-264)
A. Turn RV4 totally clockwise.
B. Select through the jumper J7 the desired outlet (see item 6.8). Connect a high impedance voltmeter
parallel with the analogical outlet (pins 10(+) and 11 (-) backward connector) for 0 to 10Vcc, or an
ammeter in series with a charge of 250 Ohms at the analogical outlet for 4 to 20 mA.
7.2.1 Outlet adjustment for 0 to 10Vcc (Models EI-185 / EI-264)
A. Without charge over the sensor coil, adjust the analogical outlet for 0Vcc through RV1 (thick zero)
RV5 (thin zero).
B. Apply the total charge over the sensor coil and adjust 10Vcc through RV2 (span). This adjustment
can also be made proportionally to the applied charge.
E.g..: 50 kgf in a scale of 0 to 100 kgf adjust for 5Vcc or 12 mA.
C. Verify the initial value without charge and if necessary repeat the items A and B.
7.2.2 Outlet adjustment for 4 to 20mA (Model EI-185)
A. Without charge over the sensor coil, adjust the indicator for 0Vcc through RV1 (thick zero) RV5 (thin
zero). Adjust the analogical outlet for 4mA through RV4.
B. Apply the total charge over the sensor coil and adjust 20mA through RV2 (span). This adjustment
can also be made proportionally to the applied charge.
E.g..: 50 kgf in a scale of 0 to 100 kgf adjust for 5 Vcc or 12 mA.
C. Verify the initial value without charge and if necessary repeat the items A and B.
7.2.3 Outlet adjustment for 4 to 20mA (Model EI-264
A. Without charge over the sensor coil, adjust the analogical outlet for 0mA through RV1 (thick zero)
RV5 (thin zero).
B. Adjustment 4mA through RV4.
C. Apply the total charge over the sensor coil and adjust 20mA through RV2 (span). This adjustment
can also be made proportionally to the applied charge.
E.g..: 50 kgf in a scale of 0 to 100 kgf adjust for 5 Vcc or 12 mA.
D. Verify the initial value without charge and if necessary repeat the items B and C.
For Model EI-185:
With charge applied over the sensor coil, adjust the display's reading at the desired engineering unit
(kgf, N, ton., etc.), through RV3 (scale).
