inspection
Prior to operation or maintenance, a visual
inspection should be made. Check for worn,
damaged, loose or missing parts.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The Drain does not require any special
maintenance other than normal cleaning,
which should be done with a damp cloth
(water and alcohol or normal detergent for
household appliances).
assembly instructions
1. Unpack drain pan and all loose parts.
2. Assemble quarter-turn valve (274008) to
one end of drain pan.
3. Assemble ¾" x ¾" coupler and camlok
connector with cap assembly, or other
fitting of choice to output of quarter-turn
valve as required for your application.
4. Assemble pipe cap to drain fitting on
opposite end of drain pan.
5.
To install axle and wheel assemblies
(277002) to pan, slide each axle into the
square axle tubes on both sides and each
end of the drain pan.
6. Install cap screw (277005) into axle tubes
without locking axles.
7. Place drain pan into pit, sliding axles out
until the wheels will roll on tracks. Center
pan inside tracks so there is equal clear-
ance on both sides of drain pan between
the pan and the track.
8. Carefully roll the drain pan from one end
of the pit to the other. Axle ends should be
adjusted for minimum clearance on both
sides of the track or pit walls. Wheels must
remain firmly on the tracks and should not
leave tracks if pan is cocked in the pit.
nOTe: Install stops at each end of the pit
to prevent the valve and coupler from strik-
ing the end of the pit.

9. After adjusting axles, tighten the four cap
screws enough to prevent the axles from
moving in the axle tubes.
10. Again, roll the drain pan from one end of
the pit to the other checking for binding
or excess clearance. Readjust axles, if
necessary, by loosening the cap screws
on the axle to be adjusted and moving the
axle in or out as required.
11. Tighten the four cap screws securely.
12. Insert screen into drain pan.
13. Check all connections for leaks.
WarninG: Make certain all four axle cap
screws are securely tightened before putting
drain pan into operation.
Operation
The normal storage location for Model 3662
Rolling Drain Pan is at one end of the service
pit where a flexible hose (supplied by custom-
er), leading to a central waste oil pump system,
can be attached to the pan for evacuation.
After the vehicle has been driven over the
service pit, position the drain pan under the
vehicle (make certain the quarter-turn valve
is closed). Drain crankcase and then roll the
drain pan to the end of the pit. When the drain
pan begins to get full, remove the camlok cap
from the coupler, connect the drain hose to
drain pan and open the quarter-turn valve to
drain oil into a central waste oil tank. When
the drain pan is empty, close the quarter-turn
valve, disconnect the drain hose from the oil
drain, and reinstall the camlok cap.
