The equipment is fitted with a piezo-electric lighter
connected to an ignition electrode (6).
- Turn the control knob (1) anti-clockwise until you hear
a click (
) indicating a spark (fig. 8). Hold the knob in
this position for a few seconds to prime the flame
guard thermocouple. If the equipment does not light,
turn the control knob (1) to position ''●'' (fig. 1) and
start the operation again.
- If the equipment still does not light after three
attempts, turn the control knob (1) to position ''●'' and
check that the cartridge contains gas (sound of liquid
sloshing when shaken) before starting the previous
steps again. (If the cartridge is empty, refer to
paragraph D - Removing the cartridge).
Position the pan on the arms centred over the burner
and adjust the gas flow so that the flames do not burn
higher than the pan. The size of the flame can be
regulated by turning the ignition knob (1) between the
full and low flow position.
Turn the ignition knob (1) clockwise to the ''●'' position
(fig. 1).
Once your equipment has fully cooled:
- Check that the gas inlet is fully closed by turning the
control knob (1) clockwise to the ''●'' position (fig. 1)
and that the burner (3) is extinguished.
- Holding the device by the pot (7), unscrew the base
(4) by turning it as shown in figure 4.
- Remove the cylinder from the pot by pulling on the
base.
- Separate the cylinder from the base by pulling firmly
on the cylinder while grasping the base.
- Put in a new cartridge by following the instructions in
paragraph "B - PREPARATION FOR OPERATION -
Installing a CAMPINGAZ
Never throw away a cartridge which is not completely
empty, (check there is no liquid in the cartridge by
shaking it).
The thermocouple placed in the flame (5 – fig. 1)
controls a valve which automatically cuts off the gas
intake to the burner when this is extinguished (air
draught or overflowing liquid, for example).
To re-light the device, put the adjustment wheel (1) in
the OFF position, ''●'' (fig. 1), and follow the instructions
given in the paragraph on
Once your equipment has fully cooled:
- Clean the equipment having removed the cartridge
(see paragraph D).
- Remove the pan support (2) and wash it and the
outside of the pot (7) with warm water, then dry
with a cloth.
A dirty burner will clog the holes of the flame. Clean
the flame holes of burner head with a metal brush
lf it is wet, ignition will not be made. Make sure any
water is removed, and dry with a cloth.
- Remove the cartridge (see paragraph D).
- Make sure that the device has cooled completely
before putting it in the transportation and storage
case.
- Store the equipment and the cartridge in a cool,
dry and well-ventilated area, out of reach of
children. Never store in a basement or cellar.
