By purchasing a switching device Art. 1224A and a second external unit Art.
4881 it is possible to extend the two-family system with two external units.
The same operation is possible with the single-family kit. In systems fitted with 2
Art. 4881 it is possible to view the image from one external unit or the other
alternately ("swing" function) by pressing Pushbutton 2 self-ignition/video
request again.

Branch connection
It is possible to create more complex systems, taking care not to exceed the
system limits already mentioned in the previous paragraphs.
Remember that in systems that are wired in enter/exit mode (cascade) the
jumper CV5 must be removed on each of the brackets, and in any case the
system must be terminated with Art. 1216.
In systems fitted with 2 Art. 4881 it is possible to view the image from one
external unit or the other alternately ("swing" function) by pressing Pushbutton 2
self-ignition/video request on the main monitor again.

DESCRIPTION OF GENIUS KIT CONNECTION VARIANTS
Addition of a main monitor in parallel
GK/AAE
The basic system can be extended to obtain a maximum of three internal users
for each Call button on the external unit.
To add a monitor, it is necessary to use Art. 5814K (bracket), 5801 (monitor)
and the power transformer Art. 1212/B.
Page 61
Set the jumper JP2 with the user code, according to diagram GK/AAE.
Wire the two brackets in entry/exit cascade (see diagram GK/AAE) or use
terminals 1214/2 to branch from the riser (see diagram GK/AAF).

GK/AAF
Connection in cascade of a main monitor and a secondary
monitor with the same user code
GK/AAB
This diagram shows the option of connecting two monitors (main and
Page 62
secondary) in cascade with each other and branching from the riser with Art.
1214/2.
In this configuration, when a call is made from the external unit only the main
monitor will turn on, and it will be possible to turn the secondary monitor on by
pressing Pushbutton 2 (Self-ignition/Video request). When a call is made from
the external unit the ring tone will sound on both monitors.

Addition of Actuator Art. 1256
GK/AAA
When Art. 1256 is inserted in parallel on the terminals of bracket 5814K it is
possible to control the relay on board the actuator using the dedicated
pushbuttons on the monitor and/or telephone.
Capacity of actuator relay: 10A. For use of Art. 1256 please refer to technical
sheet FT SB2 02 for the article in question.
Addition of external light control using Art. 1256
GK/AAD
When Art.1256 is inserted in parallel on terminals LL of bracket 5814K, it is
possible to obtain the consent required to drive an external lamp in
synchronism with light-up of the monitor. In this way, both when a call is made
and when the self-ignite command is given, the individual standing before the
Page 64
external unit can be illuminated in an adequate manner.
For use of Art. 1256 please refer to technical sheet FT SB2 02 for the article in
question.
Connection of timed local lock button
GK/AAG
Connection of call repetition devices (Art. 1229 or Art. 1122/A) on
bracket 5814K
SB2/AAK
The total of the number of internal units with the same user code and the
number of call repetition devices connected to these internal units cannot
exceed 4. Connect only one call repetition device for each internal unit. Use
shielded cable for the connection and do not run the cables near heavy
inductive loads or power supply cables (230V / 400V). Set Art. 1122/A to
operation at 12V. Only connect devices operating at low voltages to theC-NO
contacts of Art. 1122/A. If inductive loads are connected, the connection of a
470nF capacitor in parallel with the C-NO contacts of Art. 1122/A is
recommended. If audio induced interference occurs with the connection of the
wires to terminals S+ S-, use Art. 1232.

Addition of local floor call button
It is possible to add a local floor call terminal by connecting to terminals CFP
and CFP of bracket 5814K.
The local floor call has a different tone from the one that sounds for the external
unit.
If there are a number of entry phones or brackets with the same user code
connect the CFP pushbutton to one only; all the devices will ring
Page 69
simultaneously.
