GENERAL CARE
Proper care and maintenance is important in order to
keep this transport chair in good working condition.
Regular cleaning and inspection for loose or worn parts
is recommended. Follow these maintenance procedures
to help extend the life of this transport chair. A qualified
dealer or repair center should be consulted for periodic
inspections.
FRAME
Wipe chrome parts with a clean, soft cloth at least once
a week. All metal/aluminum parts can be cleaned with
auto wax or similar products. If exposed to moisture, dry
immediately. Do not use any abrasive cleansers, they will
scratch and damage the paint finish.
TIRES
All tires should be inspected at least once a month to
ensure proper tightness. If a wheel wobbles or is loose,
release the lock nut and tighten the axle bolt slightly. Test
for proper tightness and alignment by leaning the chair to
one side and spinning the adjusted wheel. Solid rubber
tires need minimal maintenance, but should be cleaned
occasionally with a damp cloth. If any of the tires become
severely worn or cracking appears,
STOP USE
and replace
immediately.
SEAT UPHOLSTERY
Spot clean the upholstery at least once a month with soapy
water and rinse. Confirm that the upholstery is dry before
STOP USE
using. If worn or torn upholstery is discovered,
and replace immediately as it may not support the users'
body weight.
HAND GRIPS
Wipe the hand grips with cold water and a clean towel.
NEVER
use ammonia-based cleaning solutions or soap on
the hand grips. This may cause them to loosen or slide off
the frame. Before using the transport chair again, confirm
that the grips are completely dry.
