5. Forward path
The forward path has a unique active circuit in which the RF signal is splitted by two internal
connectors that make possible to adjust the signal. These are provided with gain and tilt control.
The initial attenuation limits the input amplification and the equalization allows a tilt according
to amplifier requirements for the network. Afterwards, the inter-stage pre-equalization allows
one to achieve higher output levels for the same output inter-modulation parameters. The inter-
stage attenuator allows for output level lowering without degradation of the signal to noise ratio.

Input signal adjustment
The forward signal may need to be attenuated in order to achieve the level required to
properly drive the first stage of the amplifier. It is not recommended to lower the input level
