The system has been projected to offer the customer reliability against burgling and vandalic acts.
The system is made of two parts to offer a better safety: one or many key pads and one or many decoders.
The wiring is very simple (Fig. 2) above all in case of installation of one key pad and one decoder because it is
required only a two-wire cable not polarised. The data exchange works serially on the same power supply line.
This makes the installation very easy and nullifies installation mistakes.
The key pad is made of a resistant plexiglass panel with polycarbonate antiscratch engraved buttons. The
numbers are always visible due to the always working after lighting. The key pad can stand the small damages
caused to the frame by improper use. An eventual burglar act does not allow the opening of the gate ever since
there is no relay inside. The opening input is being given under the form of a "pattern" of signal that must be read
in its electronic whole by the decoder. Only the code dialled by the user allows for the relay working. The
acoustic device in the key pad provides the following:
- a light sound at each button pushing to confirm that the command has been received;
- a two seconds lasting sound for the storing of whatsoever code (principal, access, previous access);
- 3 short acoustic signals in case of code not valid.
INSTALLATION
The key pad receives the power supply from the same line where the data flow.
The current is being produced by the decoder only if jumper J3 is ON. It is therefore necessary to distinguish
between three different wiring procedures according to how many modules are being installed.
