3 OPERATING PRINCIPLE
V-1100 equipments are composed of five parts:
•
An halogen lamp to supply the light.
•
A monochromator to isolate the wavelength of interest and to eliminate unwanted
second order radiations.
•
A compartment for sample cuvettes.
•
A photodetector to receive light transmittance and to convert it to electrical sign.
•
A digital display where absorbance or transmittance.

4 INSTALLATION
After carefully unpacking the contents, check the materials with the packing list to
ensure that you have received everything in good condition.
Keep the packaging for some days. If there is something missing, please contact your
distributor as soon as possible.
Place the instrument in a stable level surface, suitable for the equipment weight and
away from direct sunlight.
Set the unit up in an area that is free of dust, corrosive gases and strong vibrations.
Leave a free space of 30cm around the equipment for a good ventilation.
Turn on the spectrophotometer V-1100, it will begin to self test.
After a 20 minutes' pre-warm, you could take any readings.
