7. Use of the remote control
With close sunshade (open), pressing the opening (closing) key the sunshade will start to get down (go up). To stop the movement of descent
(ascent) press the key of the opposite movement or the key STOP (only for the series CLARUS). A successive pressure of the same will provoke
the inversion of the motion.
Temporal sequence
Opening
Attention: possible orders given by the light sensor, if it is present, are ignored during the handling and for 5 seconds, then the
sunshade is stopped (positioning state). The switching on of the yellow led indicates the exclusion of the light sensor. See chapter 8.2.5.
From the way in which the yellow led blinks we can understand if the "positioning" or "exclusion sensors" mode have been chosen.
Yellow led lighted up fix
Slow blinking (1 time each about 2 seconds)
ATTENTION: The presence of an alarm, besides to close the sunshade immediately, will inhibit the functioning of the transmitters and
of the mechanical buttons for 7 minutes.
ATTENTION: after a black out, the control unit goes back on automatic state
8. Settings
8.1 Behaviour of the control unit
HELIOS PROX control unit drives motors with internal limit switches with an admitted opening time of 7 minutes.
In case in which the sunshade is stopped for the intervention of a limit switch, the control unit remains on the state of opening sunshade until the
reaching of the 7 minutes.
In this interval of time 2 orders of "CLOSE" will be necessary to bring the sunshade on closing (because it will be necessary to pass for the STOP
state).
At the same way, in case in which the sunshade would be opened and the control unit would find itself in the state of "STOP" , an order of closing
would draw back the sunshade for a time determined by the intervention of the limit switches of the motor.
Despite the sunshade has been totally closed, the control unit will continue on the closing state until the reaching of the 7 minutes. For this reason
in this interval of time 2 orders of "OPEN" will be necessary to bring the sunshade on opening (because it will be necessary to pass for the STOP
state).
In conclusion it is necessary to keep in mind that the condition of open sunshade (close sunshade) for the control unit do not always correspond
to the real condition of the open sunshade (close sunshade).
NOTE: in case that the control unit is on the closing position and, through the manual override, the awning is brought to the opening position, an
intervention of the sensors ( wind, light, rain) will not make close the awning as, the control unit is still under the closing position.
HELIOS PROX control unit has already inside a properly dimensioned antenna to maximize the reception of the controls provided by the
transmitters of the series B.ROL and CLARUS 433 MHz. The transmission from a remote control to a too close distance should make enter the
radio module of the control unit in saturation and cause a malfunctioning of the card. In this case it is enough to go away of some meter to have a
correct functioning of the card.
ENTION: the presence of humidity on the walls or of metallic parts on the strict closeness of the control unit could reduce remarkably
the reception of the controls given by the transmitters.
8.2 Selection of the functions
Setting the selection of function (dip – switch) and the adjusting device (trimmer) present in the control unit, several types of functioning are
possible. Helios PROX is supplied with the following settings:
•
Wind threshold at 0 Km/h
•
Opening time at maximum = 7 min.
•
Closing time at maximum = 7 min
•
All the dip on off
•
Light 2 threshold (intermediate)
Applying several devices for "environmental" control (anemometer, sensor of luminous intensity, rain sensor), it is possible to execute some fur-
ther adjustments, some of them by acting directly on the card.
