Instruction Manual for Series Regal.2
USE OF THE PUMP
4
Submersible pumps are designed for private use at home or garden.
Submersible pumps are used to drain, transfer liquid, empty containers, and draw water from
wells, draining boats, yachts and also for water aeration and circulation for a limited period
of time.
The pumps are fully submersible (sealed) and can dive to a depth of 7 meters (AUT REGAL
40M) and 8M (REGAL-REGAL-55M 70M And AUT AUT).
The pumps are not designed for continuous use (eg a continuous water circulation). The life
of your pump will be shortened depending on the type of use.
LOCATION
5
Access to the pump or installation should be sufficiently restricted so that no one can access
it inadvertently. It must have certain elements that prevent access by children or others at risk.
Never stay in the place of location of the pump while it works.
The pump should NOT be installed in locations classified as hazardous, excepting those
specifically designed for it.
If the pump is exposed to weather risk of frost, it should be completely submerged and un-
derway. Never allow the ice to affect it, nor the formation of ice inside. If the pump will not
be used for a long period of time, it should be cleaned and stored in a dry and ventilated
place.
If the pump is in a well or pit, before any operation, assure that there are not poisonous gases,
explosives or suffocates.
If you are using a blower or fan to pass gas, make sure that there is no risk of explosion.
Place protections to prevent accidental falls while the well remains open.
If the background of the area where the pump is to be placed is sandy or muddy, the pump
should be suspended with a suitable medium, or placed on a reasonable basis, to prevent
its collapse.
If the pumps are to be used in swimming pools, gardens or similar places must be complied
with European Standard 60335, Section 2. Protection class I. Consult with a specialist.
LIQUID PUMPED
6
Pumps should not ever run without fluid.
Submersible pumps can pump the following fluids: clean or slightly polluted water (particles
with a maximum size of 5mm or 0.5mm) or soapy water.
In any case, as a rule, the pumped liquid must not be:
• Aggressive, corrosive, flammable, toxic or explosive.
• Grease, oil, salt, dirty water from toilets and urinals.
• In temperatures above 35 º
• Incompatible with pump materials.
In all pumps with grid available, avoid the presence of fibrous or long solids.
