CAUTION: a well adjusted harness plays an essential role in protecting your baby
more effectively. You should not be able to place more than the width of a finger
between the harness and the child.
Place the car seat against the back seat of your vehicle (12). Lower the head sup-

port as far as it will go. Pull the safety belt until it is completely slack. Place the
two ends of the belt through the opening in the cover and the back of the car seat
ensuring that the diagonal end goes up vertically between the back and the head
support (13).
Pull the safety belt through the opposite openings. Make sure that the safety belt
goes behind the harness of the car seat (14).
Ensure that the lap end of the belt passes under the armrest of the car seat and
that the diagonal end goes under the red guide on the back. Fasten the safety belt,
ensuring that the belt is not twisted (15). Push the car seat firmly against the back
seat of the vehicle and tighten the belt as far as possible by pulling the lap and
diagonal end up towards the inertia reel (16).
Open the buckle of the harness by pressing on the red button in the centre of the
buckle. Place your child in the car seat. Join together both ends of the shoulder
harness and fasten the harness buckle until you hear it click (17). Pull on the ad-
justment strap of the harness so that the shoulder straps are fitting snugly over
your child (18).
Installation without the harness
Gr. 2-3, from 15 to 36 kg (from approximately 3 to 12 years)
Ensure that the harness of your car seat is not attached and that the adjustable
head support has been set to the size of your child before starting to install it in
your vehicle. Your car seat is group 2 and 3 approved and has a back support.
Never remove the back of your car seat. Without the back, your child will not
be protected laterally.
•
Undoing the harness: repeat operations (6),
(7)
and (8). Release the buckle con-
nectors on each end of the harness
(19)
then pull the harness through the vertical
part of your car seat (20). Remove the crotch strap by twisting the metal stop then
passing it through the seat and the seat cover (21).
•
Adjusting the head support: the adjustable head support is designed to be used
as your child grows up providing maximum lateral protection. The belt guides of
the head support must be placed as close to your child's shoulders as possible
(22).
Place the car seat against the back seat of your vehicle (23). Seat your child on
the car seat. The diagonal end of the belt goes into the strap guide of the head
support and under the opposite armrest. The lap end of the safety belt goes under
the armrests (24). Fasten the safety belt. Ensure that the belt is tight enough and
not twisted.
