normal temperature range.

Operating temperature is
outside of the permissible
range (60.8°F – 95.0°F;
16.0°C – 35.0°C).
Blank display
Low battery
Low battery warning
Corrective Action
Retake temperature
positioning the probe
snuggly into the ear
canal.
Retake temperature
positioning the probe
snuggly into the ear
canal.
Take thermometer to a
room where the
temperature is within the
permissible range.
Wait 45 minutes to
stabilize thermometer.
Retake temperature
positioning the probe
snuggly into the ear
canal.
Check battery polarity.
May need to replace
battery.
Replace battery
immediately.
Unit will work; however,
replace battery when
possible.
