You will be able to use the multi-media player to exchange
data as an external drive, if you have not installed Windows
Media Player 10. You will be able to play the music files or
copy data to another computer after you have separated
the multi-media player from the computer.
You will be able to transfer files without protection
to the multi-media player by means of drag & drop with
®
Windows Explorer as usual. Protected files must be
transferred with the associated licence by means of
Windows Media Player.

Formatting the device

Back up the data on a computer or another storage
medium before you reformat the multi-media player.
All your data will be lost otherwise.
You will be able to format the multi-media player with
Windows Media Player. Connect the device to the
computer and open Media Player.
 Select the format and start the process.
Select FAT in the file menu, but not NFTS under any
circumstances; your multi-media player will not
work otherwise and you will have to reformat it.
