Installing the carrier (TX###) dedicated for ski/snowboard

Align the elongated hole on the L-plate and the hole
on the carrier with the hole on the nut plate. And
then, fix them to the nut plate using the bolts
(short) (M6 x 15), supplied with the carrier.
(Use the outer holes to attach the base unit.)
• Tighten the bolts securely, using the Hex wrench.
Caution
• Tighten the bolt until the spring washer lies flat.
• Tighten the bolt with 4 [N·m] (40 [kgf·cm]) of torque.
Warning
The bolts will loosen after the initial installation, so make
sure to re-tighten them after driving.
Pe rform the installation procedure according to the
installation instructions supplied with the winter carrier.
Align the elongated hole on the L-plate, the outer
hole on the plastic base and the outer hole on the carrier
with the hole on the nut plate. And then, fix them
securely to the nut plate using the bolts (long) (M6
x 30), supplied with the carrier. The plastic base must be
placed as the arrow on it faces toward the vehicle
center.
• Tighten the bolts securely, using the Hex wrench.
Caution
• Tighten the bolt until the spring washer lies flat.
• Tighten the bolt with 4 [N·m] (40 [kgf·cm]) of torque.
Warning
The bolts will loosen after the initial installation, so make
sure to re-tighten them after driving.
Pe rform the installation procedure according to the
installation instructions supplied with the winter carrier.
Caution
When you load your snowboard and if its bindings interfere
with the roof, face the bindings up or unload the board.
