Brown: electric power supply phase for
commanding gearmotor rotation in the
opposite direction to the black wire.
⚠
Once the electrical connection has been
made, check that the direction of rotation of
the motor is as required. If it is not, invert the
brown wire with the black one.

CENTRALISATION
1-C-2 = (neutral contacts) Makes it possible to
give the same up or down command to the
same system without having to connect the
sensors and direction controls to each one.
WEATHER SENSOR CONNECTIONS
⚠
If the sun sensor is not used, leave it
jumpered.

For details of the connections, see the
instructions for the wired weather units to
be installed.

PROG (programming): used to memorise the
fi rst TX or weather unit.
RST (reset): the unit clears any alarms in
progress.
RST TEST mode: at this stage, all the alarm
times are reduced to 30" (the reference LED
remains on).
RST TOTAL MEMORY mode: this deletes
all the radio controls and weather units (the
references LED fl ashes).
Selecting the functions
☞
The settings of dip switches 1, 2 and 3 only
apply to wired sensors.
Dip switch 1 = ON Enables the wind sensor
life control
Dip switch 1 = OFF Disables the wind sensor
life control
Dip switch 2 =ON Wind alarm reset
Dip switch 2 = OFF Wind alarm reset (default)
Dip switch 3 = ON Rain alarm direction
(opening)
Dip switch 3 = OFF Rain alarm direction (default
closing)
Dip switch 4 = ON Person present mode
enabled
Dip switch4 = OFF Automatic (default)
DESCRIPTION OF DIP SWITCH FUNCTIONS
DIP SWITCH 1 = enables or disables life
presence control of the wind sensor.
In the ON position: if no life signal comes
from the anemometer within 120 hours,
the unit closes the awning and disables the
inputs for all the sensors. The awning can
only be reopened using the manual control
and will open in 3" bursts. When a new life
signal arrives, the unit will start to operate
as normal.
In the OFF position: no intervention if no
life signal comes from the anemometer in
120 hours.
DIP SWITCH 2 = Wind alarm reset: on
activating the relative dip switch, it is
possible to modify the behaviour of the unit
after the 15' safe time following the end of
the wind alarm.
In the ON position: the awning reopens at
the end of the wind alarm. This movement
takes place both during the day and at
night, regardless of whether the sun sensor
is present.
In the OFF position: at the end of the wind
alarm after the 15
safe time, the awning
'
only reopens if the sun sensor is connected
and exceeds the brightness threshold set on
the sun trimmer.
DIP SWITCH 3 = Rain
alarm direction.
In the ON position: opening is commanded in
the event of a rain alarm
In the OFF position: closing is commanded in
the event of a rain alarm
DIP SWITCH 4 = Automatic/person present
mode:
In the ON position: person present mode - the
motor is only controlled for as long as the
button or TX is pressed (do not activate if
radio-based weather units are memorised).
In the OFF position: automatic mode - press
and then release the control button. The
motor movement continues until reaching
the programmed end run point or until a
new movement command is given in the
opposite direction.
Adjusting the trimmer
Trimmer
= adjusting the sensitivity of the
sun threshold level: 15 klux (+ sensitive) / 60
klux (- sensitive).
Trimmer
= adjusting the sensitivity of the
wind threshold level: 5 km/h (+ sensitive) / 40
km/h (- sensitive).
The data and information provided in this manual are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
Sun calibration = Obscure the sensor and
hold down the Prog button on the unit for
5" (the response is one fl ash of the LED, 1
click-clack and 1 click-clack when the button
is released).
Weather unit commands
The CHOPIN-KLT unit associates different
priorities with the alarms triggered by the wired
weather sensors:
☞ The wind alarm has absolute priority over
the sun and rain alarms, disabling them.
☞ The rain alarm has absolute priority over
the sun alarm, disabling it.
☞ The commands coming from the weather
units via radio or from the radio controls are
the same.
WIND ALARM STATUS
When the wind speed exceeds the set
threshold value for 2", the weather unit
enters wind alarm mode, and the red "wind"
LED lights up and stays on. In this mode, the
unit recalls the awning, keeping it close for
the alarm time plus a 15' safe time (the LED
fl ashes) after the wind speed has dropped back
below the threshold. The manual and radio
controls are disabled.
RAIN ALARM STATUS
The presence of water on the rain sensor for
at least 5" triggers a rain alarm on the unit,
signalled by a green LED.
SUN ALARM STATUS
When the threshold level is exceeded for 2',
the weather unit commands the opening of the
awning. The relative yellow LED on the panel
fl ashes increasingly quickly with increasing
brightness, remaining steady when the set
threshold is exceeded.
