The Brionvega way of life
Beyond The american dream
A new shape. A real revolution. Once again beyond all stereotypes.
Full ahead, even in the most advanced country in the world. In 1965,
in America, when pop art was all the rage, Brionvega exhibited its
radio receiver rr127, a product that once again left behind the usual
shapes. Brionvega had its say in its own way. Without shouting. Just
by showing itself.
radio receiver rr127 arose out of Marco Zanuso's genius; Zanuso fa-
thered several Brionvega products, whilst inventing innovative sha-
pes, beyond the borders of imagination, unmatched in his capacity to
integrate design and technology.
a choice of disTincTion
Whilst art engaged with consumerist society, Brionvega design em-
braced the concept that "Less is more", distinguishing itself for its
uniqueness and peculiarity with a refined and linear product, which
played with the pop world. And there was the game. It, the radio re-
ceiver rr127, stands there, unmoved and monolithic. It needs to be
discovered, in the confusion of signs and symbols.
"I'm a radio. And I'm also speaking about you."
A radio which is worth twice. It can stand or lay down: two different
radios. Pick up yours!
Dual frequency graphics; its lettering is inspired by the first American

In 1965 they were something of a novelty, with their discrete shape.
Easy to press, nice to look at.

Its typical parallelepiped shape and its source and target markets

receiver. they called it the "Brionvega skyscraper".

today radio receiver rr227 gathers new functions and becomes the
core of a modular sound system, which can also be connected with
a MP3/WMA reader, a computer or another peripheral unit, through
a Mini SD or a USB input. A system open to the signs and signals of
our times.

choosing, not only being content
radio receiver rr227 plays with the quality of contents and the origina-
lity of shapes. Horizontal or vertical position? A choice has to be made.
When it lies down, it invites you to an Italian-style relax, to contem-
plate sounds, to live slowly. When it stands up, it invites you to strive
towards ever-higher goals. For people who want to be the centre of
the world, even in confined spaces. touching the sky with an aerial.
