• insert (slightly twisting) the borer (chisel) into
the chuck 1 (SDS PLUS) or into the chuck 22
(SDS MAX) against stop (see fig. 9.2);
• release fixing bush 3 (see fig. 9.3);
• test the borer (chisel) fixing by trying to remove
it from chuck 1 (SDS PLUS) or from chuck 22
(SDS MAX)
• When removing borer (chisel):
• move fixing bush 3 back and hold it in this position
(see fig. 10.1);
• extract the borer (chisel) from the chuck 1
(SDS PLUS) or from chuck 22 (SDS MAX) (see
fig. 10.2);
• release fixing bush 3 (see fig. 10.3).
[H12-06 B]
• Move backward the fixing bush 3 and hold it in this
position (see fig. 11.1).
• Mount / replace the accessory When installing the
working accessory, it is necessary to clear the shank
end preliminarily (see fig. 11.2)
• Release the fixing bush 3 (see fig. 11.3).
Gloves are to be used when removing the
borer (chisel) from chuck, as the borer
(chisel) may be dangerously hot after
long drilling.
Replacing the dust protection casing (see fig. 12)

Dust protection casing 2 prevents the
dust from entering the SDS PLUS chuck
or SDS MAX chuck. Never use your power
tool with a damaged dust protection cas-
ing 2 - if damaged, it must be immediately replaced.
You can either do it on your own, or contact the
DWT service center.
• Move fixing bush 3 back and hold it in that position
(see fig. 12.1).
• Pull dust protection casing 2, and remove it (see
fig. 12.2).
• Install a new dust protection casing 2 (see fig. 12.3).
• Release fixing bush 3 (see fig. 12.4).
Adapter for chuck SDS PLUS
[BH10-26 B, BH10-28 VB, BH12-28 VB, BH13-32 VB,
BH15-32 VB, BH15-36 VB]
• SDS PLUS adapter 25 and screw 26 enable using
gear rim chuck 24
• Never use SDS PLUS adapter 25 in the impact drill-
ing or chiselling operation modes
• Drills that don't belong to the SDS PLUS system are
not allowed for the impact drilling
Mounting / dismounting of the gear rim chuck (see
fig. 13-14)
[BH10-26 B, BH10-28 VB, BH12-28 VB, BH13-32 VB,
BH15-32 VB, BH15-36 VB]
• Screw the gear rim chuck 24 onto the adapter 25
(SDS PLUS) and lock it in with the screw 26 (see fig. 13).
• Install the adapter 25 (SDS PLUS) into the
chuck 1 (SDS PLUS), repeating the same steps as
when mounting the borer (chisel) see fig. 14.
• When dismantling, repeat the steps described
above in the reverse order
Attention: keep in mind that in the pro-
cess of mounting / dismounting of the
gear rim chuck 24 the screw 26 has a left-
hand thread.
Mounting / replacement of accessories (see fig. 15)

BH15-32 VB, BH15-36 VB]
• Release the cams grip with drill chuck key 27, then
rotate the quill of gear rim chuck 24 counter-clockwise
with your hand (see fig. 15) until the cams move apart
at the distance allowing an accessory to be mounted /
replaced
• Mount / replace an accessory
• Rotate the quill of gear rim chuck 24 clockwise with
your hand in order to lock the accessory mounted Do
not allow the accessory to become distorted
• Tighten the cams of gear rim chuck 24 with drill
chuck key 27 applying a similar torque to each of the
three openings on the side surface of the chuck
With long-term use the drill bit may be-
come very warm; use gloves to remove
it.
Initial operation of the
•
Always use the correct supply voltage the power
supply voltage must match the information quoted on
the power tool identification plate.
• The power tool is supplied properly lubricated and
ready for use
• A new power tool needs some time for its parts to
run in before a full load operation The run-in period
duration is about 5 hours of operation
• The gear lubrications require a short time to get warm
Depending on the ambient temperature this period of
time can alter within the range of approximately 15 s
(at ambient temperature of 32°С) up to 2 minutes (at
ambient temperature of 0°С).
