Adapter for small sample volume
1000996
When we have only a small sample volume, we must use the adapter 1000996.
The Sample Adapter consists of:
- Extension link for spindle with coupling nut to connect to the motor axle.
- Special spindles (spindle no. 21, 27, 28 and 29)
- Sample chamber with thermostatting jacket.
- Adjustable base.

Adapter assembly:

1. Fix the extension link to the motor axle. ATTENTION: See 6.3 concerning
how to do this action in order not to damage the motor.
2. Hang the selected spindle: no. 21, no. 27, no. 28 or no. 29.
Lift the viscosimeter up as much as you can in order to facilitate the operation.
3. Place the chamber in the centre of the adapter base and fix it with three screws.
Do not excessively overtighten it as the position must be corrected later on to centre
the adapter to the viscosimeter shaft.
Lower down the viscosimeter slowly by turning the knob.
Move the adapter base so that the spindle can smoothly enter into the sample chamber.
Adjust the adapter base level with the help of the three screws and the level bubble.
Fill the chamber with 10 - 20ml liquid sample (this operation can be made before or
after inserting the spindle).
If you want to temper the sample, connect a recirculation temperature bath to the
in and out water jackets on the adapter side.
4. Configure, in the viscosimeter panel, the spindle number. Select the viscosity and
start the measurement by pressing the «Test» key (reading must be between 20
and 90%).
