8. Printer connection and RS-232 commu-
nication
You can connect a serial printer as 4120113 to print the data.
You can also ask J.P. Selecta for the software to directly download the measurements
to the PC.
The serial communication follow the next parameters:
9600bps, 8 dasta bits, 1 stop bit, non-parity.

9. General precautions and advices

• Keep the motor shaft always protected with the yellow cap.
• Assemble and dismantle the spindle carefully. The motor shaft is a very delicate
part.
• It's not necessary to «hold tight» the spindle to the motor shaft.
• Do not use any tool to «tighten» the spindle to the motor shaft.
• Do not turn the spindle manually once installed in the viscosimeter.
• Keep the spindle and the motor shaft threads clean.
• Once the spindle is assembled, do not lie the viscosimeter down.
• To turn the knob upwards and, hold the viscosimeter with the other hand.
• When changing the spindle, remember to select it on the viscosimeter.
• When changing the fluid, you must clean the spindle and its protector.
• Do not use other viscosimeters spindles.
• Ambient temperature affects the viscosimeter measurement a lot.
