Test wiring for correctness with continuity checks and
also for unwanted grounds with an insulation resistance
tester.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to enclosure, make sure that the
cover gasket and body flanges are free of any foreign
substances before mating to ensure proper gasket
sealing.
8.
Carefully assemble cover assembly to the device body
with the cover screws. Check the tightness of the
cover screws to ensure that the cover assembly is
securely fastened.
Do Not exceed 35 in. lb. of torque.
PILOT LAMP REPLACEMENT
N2S Series: incandescent, miniature bayonet base 120
VAC (Sylvania 120 MB Series)
N2SU Series: because the N2PLU pilot light assembly is
factory sealed, the LED lamp cannot be replaced. The
complete pilot light assembly will need to be replaced.
WARNING
To prevent electrical shock, be sure all power is turned
OFF before replacing the lamp or opening enclosure.
MAINTENANCE
1.
Frequent inspection should be made. The environment
and frequency of use should determine a schedule for
maintenance checks. It is recommended that it should
be at least once a year.
2.
Perform visual, electrical and mechanical checks on all
components on a regular basis.
Visually check for undue heating evidenced by
•
discoloration of wires or other components,
damaged or worn parts or leakage evidenced
by water or corrosion in the interior.
Electrically check to make sure that all connections
•
are clean and tight, and that contacts in the
components make or break as required.
•
Mechanically check that all parts are properly
assembled, and that operating mechanisms
move freely.

REPLACEMENT

Pilot Light Lamp Only
N2S Series: incandescent, miniature bayonet base 120
VAC (Sylvania 120 MB Series)
N2SU Series: LED, T3- 1 /4 miniature bayonet base 120
VAC, factory sealed.
Unscrewing the jewel makes replacement of the
incandescent pilot light lamp easy. It is not necessary to
remove the cover. Because the N2PLU pilot light assembly
is factory sealed, the LED lamp cannot be replaced. The
complete pilot light assembly will need to be replaced.
Install replacement pushbutton, pilot light or selector switch
following installation information supplied with each device.
The following lists the Crouse-Hinds replacement catalog
number.
