• Select the function using the Rotary
Selection Knob (4) and the Hammer
Action Lever (9)
• To use the rotary selection knob,
press in the Spring Loaded Lock
Button (3) then turn the knob to the
position required
ROTATION ONLY MODE
• For drilling into wood or metal with the SDS chuck or keyed

Fitting the keyed chuck
• The Keyed Chuck (14) allows bits
with a straight shank to be used with
the tool
• Use the SDS Chuck Adaptor (16) to
fit the keyed chuck to the SDS chuck
1. Grip and pull back the Chuck Collar
(1) of the SDS Plus chuck and insert
the SDS Chuck Adaptor (16). It may
be necessary to rotate the SDS
chuck adaptor in order for it to locate
properly
2. Release the chuck collar to lock the
adaptor in place
3. Screw the Keyed Chuck (14) onto
the threaded end of the SDS chuck
adaptor
WARNING. The keyed chuck must only be used when drilling
in wood and metal. It must not be used in the hammer mode
of operation.
Operating Instructions
IMPORTANT: Put on all safety equipment required before you
operate this drill
Switching on and off
1. Connect the plug to the power point
2. The Red Neon Indicator (7) shows
when power is connected to the tool
3. Depress the On/Off trigger switch (6)
to start the drill and release the On/
Off trigger switch to stop
Variable speed
• The speed of the drill can be
adjusted using the Variable Speed
Dial (10)
• To increase the speed, turn the
variable speed dial to the right so
that the number displayed increases
- up to a maximum of 6
• To decrease the speed, turn the dial
to the left so that the number displayed decreases down to
a minimum of 1
• Selecting the speed enables you to have greater control of
the drill and allows drilling into a variety of materials
• The speed can be changed whilst the drill is running
Drilling Concrete
• Using hammer drill mode, apply pressure to the rear of the
drill, in line with the drill bit
• For efficient drilling, it is advisable to use TCT (tungsten
carbide tipped) drill bits. Ensure that drill bit size is within
the maximum capacity of the drill (see specifications)
• Do not apply too much pressure if debris blocks the drill
hole. Run the drill slowly, and remove the bit from the hole.
Repeat until hole is cleared
Drilling Wood
• Use rotary drill mode only
• Ensure that drill bits are suitable for wood, and are within
the maximum capacity of this drill (see specifications)
